I started pretty well, got 2nd position and was going steady about 20 laps with little red devil Fab on my tail. But then idiotic mistake in 1st hairpin, hit right front, nice spectacular flight - and 6-wheeler has became 5:) Fab escaped collision skillfully. I had no chances to get to pits cause i couldn't turn the car at all. So escape-go back to pits-85 seconds penalty. I returned 1 or 2 laps behind and tried to keep the pedal to the metal. So i was 5th at finish. Still don't know if the result valid. You guys judge. Anyway awesome track and brilliant race for guys on podium!

Sorry about last night again, seems no matter what good intentions I have at the moment someone/thing decides to mess that up. It's nice to know there is a backup in place, thanks FMG  angel

I enjoyed that one much more than I expected. Qualified on the back row, then had a car land on top of me at the start. Escaped any serious damage somehow, and proceded to lap steadily but slowly, making up places on damaged cars ahead of me. Then discovered I'd cocked-up my fuel calculation and had to make a splash-and-dash with two laps remaining. Just happy to be still running at the finish here, and I had no idea where I'd finished either, so thanks for posting the results  Grin

that might have been my disco-ing car Les, sorry if it was. I take it nobody else suffered a weird glitch or disco at race start then?

I'm gutted as thats a big loss of points with an instant dnf. I was hoping for a season long battle with fabri and vva.  Cry Plus i was looking forward to the mental challenge of 45mins around this fierce track whilst racing others

glad to hear you will be joining us for rest of season Smiley

its FMG who is looking un-assailable already after 4 rounds, but could be a great 4-5 way fight for the podium places, plus a good close midfield fight shaping up :-

Sorry the server started a bit late - as I've mentioned previously, it's hard to know what the time is in the Rift Grin

That race was stupid hard for me, I seem to have caught conjunctivitis on about Monday - and it's generally fine until evening time....
In the case of last night I was fine until about half race distance, from then on I was steadily struggling more and more to see as one and then the other eye would blur over eek
The last 10 minutes were essentially shape recognition, on anything other than a street circuit with all those handy barriers and buildings to follow I'd probably have had several offs and/or a proper crash. Instead I just had to go slower and follow the walls.

As you can imagine I'm really pleased with the win as a result - especially as I managed to knock a further .2 off of my PB back when my eyes were still working during qualifying Cheesy

Congrats to the podium and finishers, this car combo is actually harder here than the '67 F1's.
At least in those you can make a car which has neutral handling the entire way around, in these you have to pick which corners you want a 'nice' car to drive and then fight it everywhere else!

Maybe he's just less scared when he can't see, hence the faster times  laugh

Either that or we have a damn Jedi in here...

Drive-through for free, 1 eye only,.. We still need to break an arm or a leg to prevent you from winning..  Grin

Was a lonely race here. I didn't see the mayhem behind me at start, I just knew I had some room to be very careful in the first few turns. Though I had Kimi chasing me end of lap 1, aspirating me in the pitlane "straightline", unfortunately we just had passed Mark's stopped car so that it might have made things a bit more complicated for him and he ended pretty bad in T1 entry. Not sure it would have gone well without that neither.. As i wasn't in good physical condition, and as long as I was seeing Fabrizio going slowly further, I just pushed the "Endurance & Safety" button. Only 1 very slight contact with the rails, which is my victory in this race. 2 free places due to Vva's crash and Mark problems. Surprise podium.

Thanks all for racing.

I had ping problems, very high during qualifying and this worried me enough, considering that this could create many problems for others in a street circuit.
Fortunately, the ping returned to normal shortly before the start.

I started quite badly, even distracted by the previous problem. I saw Mark very close behind me and immediately after a general chaos. I didn't understand that it had happened. I was 3rd behind VVA. I stayed close to him for all laps. I tryed put a bit of pression, it is never easy drive with a red thing in the mirrows, but he drove very well with no mistakes.
I was thinking of attacking him at the end. But around the 20th lap after "the jump" at max speed, VVA had some trouble and he hit the guard rails abruptly. It was a terrible scene, also several spectators were involved in the accident. I managed to pass unscathed somehow, leaving the hell behind me.

Then I continued the race in second position without taking any risks. FMG was far ahead and absolutely unreachable.

A good 2nd position considering that Tim was simple too fast for me. Adrenalinic race for sure.

Congrats to all finishers! Really bad luck for Mark.
