Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 2387s

Dan Minton gets a run on Grinsomat as they exit the final bend and Grinsomat goes to the inside to take the defensive line down the straight.
Dan uses the slipstream for a moment and then also moves to the right trying to sqeeze between the pitwall and Grinsomat, resulting in contact.
It was clear from Grinsomat's actions that he intended to take the inside line, and an easier safer pass should have been made on the outside where there was more space.

Server replay time: 2393s

As they approach the braking zone at at the end of the main straight Dan is still very close to Grinsomat and decides to attempt an overtake on the inside.

Dan brakes hard but clips the right rear of Grinsomat's car, and Grinsomat goes off as a result.

Even though Dan has held his hand up for this one, Grinsomat is driving down the center of the track at this point, and this doesn't help things.
One of the reasons for choosing a definite inside or outside line is to allow more room for manouver and avoid incidents just like this one.

Overall I have to rule against Dan, who should have been more careful, especially after the initial contact at the start finish line.

A bit slow getting round to posting on this one.....
It was another nice race for me with a PB in qual and the race. I was surprised to see that they were records though.
I suppose at this point I should thank the GTN boys for not showing up  Wink Tongue

At the race start I managed to pull away from TT by a few seconds but he reeled me in after a couple of laps. Kept me under pressure with some nice low 1'40s laps, which was a bit faster than I had planned on going - nice job TT, and sorry to see you drop back after the scary moment at T1. My tyres were just starting to get hot too and I was wondering if you had the same probs.

Grats to the brothers on the other podium spots - really nice drive TT.

Had a good qualy in 6th but then race setup was not so good. Tried soft front, medium rear without prior testing. Was ok but not so great balance .. does anyone else use this combo?

I use this soft/medium on some tracks in the GT3, Enna and Monza are ok like this iirc but the grip on the front is so much more than the rear and it tends to overheat the rears for me. Think I reduce the camber until the soft tyre is nearly flat with the road as it balances out the car a bit and gives very good braking ability without locking up.
Generally I find the med/med setup to be much safer and usually just as fast ( for me anyway ).

3rd pace in the team champ will be a good fight at Monza, looking forward to it Sharkies Grin
