Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 140s

On the warm up lap Dan Minton loses it at Lesmo 1 and spins the car. He makes a rejoin before the field has passed and causes Edza to brake hard. Paddy Cummins then loses it trying to avoid Edza and goes off.
Dan then overtakes 5 cars on the run down to Ascari. He then ovetakes 7 cars on the straight after Ascari and makes side contact with Demonic Dan while squeezing up the inside at the Parabolica when everyone engages the pit limiter.
The rules are clear on this matter and any driver that loses position on the formation lap must not attempt to gain back any lost positions.
Also any driver who leaves the track on the formation must ensure that they rejoin safely, even if this means letting the entire field through.

  • Dan Mintonpenalty — side contact with Demonic Dan — 2 places lost (plus 6 for penalty points)
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded
  • Dan Mintonpenalty — bad rejoin on formation lap — 1 place lost (plus 6 for penalty points)
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded
  • Dan Mintonpenalty — overtaking on the formation lap — 3 places lost (plus 6 for penalty points)

Server replay time: 553s

On the approach to Roggia Popabawa is braking hard and moves to the inside line as Dan Minton and Rich_A battle with each other directly in front.
Dan leaves a cloud of tyre smoke, Pops brakes cautiously and Maurice gets caught out and clips the rear of Pops' car and spins him out.
Maurice tries to avoid the contact but just tags the rear of Pops as he heads for the gravel in avoidance.
In mitigation Maurice was probably distracted by the cloud of tyre smoke from the cars ahead and also by Pops' slightly early braking. Also, in trying to avoid Pops Maurice gets a stop/go penalty for running onto the gravel so I am reducing the penalty from 2 places to 1.

Server replay time: 560s

After the above incident Pops is left stranded on the kerbing in the middle of the Roggia chicane,
Don is approaching and as he turns in for the chicane he is already under heavy braking and cannot avoid hitting Pops.
The 2 cars bounce off eachother as Sponsored by Ginsters luckily shoots through safely between the colliding NGT Legends Porsches.

GTR1 mate.
Dont believe you would need any car rankings if you did fixed class racing.
Just an idea.

GTR1 mate.
Dont believe you would need any car rankings if you did fixed class racing.
Just an idea.

I would think you need a few rankings, e.g.

In GT...Corvette needs a points help as does the G2 Viper.
In NGT...Morgan and Vertigo needs a points help.
In G3...Lotus and GT3 Cup are much slower than BMW.

I know there is good support for ladders, but I hate them. Championships is what I like as there is a start, a middle and end, like a good book. There is just no incentive in a ladder for me.

Was just an idea mate to give the guys something to race for instead of fun races which historically have been a bit of a flop.
Oh well not to worry.

Just my opinion Greg. I'm not in charge. If you think it's going to get good support and want to push it don't let me stop you.

I've not really seen anything that people are enthusiastic enough about to fill the Tuesday gap yet so at the moment it's free till September 30th. There aren't enough for rFactor or Netkar and I get the impression that one night of GTL is enough.

The solution to that is quite simple actually Roll Eyes

Just organise some fun races and tell them there will be free lager. It will be jampacked me tells you Wink Tongue

Is one night a week doing a bit of GTL enough ?
It was just an idea and certainly isn't my place to organise such events.

Perhaps the powers that be should put a poll up to see if the guys want to keep GTR1 alive in some form or another ?

Not sure we should encourage drinking and virtual driving  Tongue

Trouble with swapping around all over the place is practice. I've tried pretty much each season to stick to a single car. Swapping and changing all the time means I won't practice so I won't attend. Perhaps I'm alone here but there is only so much time to practice

Doing this might be the last and only time some of the cars get used in a proper on-line race, theres even a few Ive only ever done a handfull of offline laps.  :'(

Worth a try in my book.  Smiley

The car ratings used in scoring don't have to be used in a ladder/rolling ranking context, they could just as easily be used in a championship setting.

The real problem in GTR is that the Seat has no comparable cars and the performance range in G3 is huge.
