Moderator's Report

The start of this race was a mess. This was caused by mclaessen who seemed to have forgotten the starting procedure. He drove off at a speed too high for a formation lap causing large gaps in the formation when the field came up to the start/finish straight.

Server replay time: 228s

Due to a glitch in GTR Maverick's car sunk into the track and came to a sudden stop. Shark was following him for a while and could not do anything to avoid Maverick.

BTW Mark, timing by hand on the replay, your pit stop took 26 seconds, compared to my 36 seconds.
Might need to invest in a faster refueling rig in the Team Shark garage.  Wink Grin

Good race.. had good few laps with MC and Fox, managed to overtake MC into T1 but then in some traffic I floored it and catapulted into the barrier. Had some front aero damage but still managed 37.0. Had couple of spins on second stint due to over ambitious driving but managed to hold on 4 seconds ahead of second.

If you get double shifts, I use KeyDelay works flawlessly ..

First and above all I’m terrible sorry you had such a bad luck TT. Sad
It’s terrible when those things happen. Fortunately GTR2 is near and I’ll keep my fingers crossed that it will be bug free. Wink

I arrived late at home and thought I wouldn’t make it time to enter before the warm up.
Run GTR trying for a long shot to be able to join in. When I got to the server the qualifying count down showed 45 seconds. Just in time.
Joined in, ALT-TAB, TS on, ALT-TAB again there I was in last.
I never raced in Estoril in NGT before and a first time with the 360.
Just loaded the 550 setups, changed gears, a tweak in suspension and brakes, fuel and off I went starting from last in grid.

The setup was terrible. The first gear was useless and even in the corkscrew I was managing it in 2nd.
Also the rpm limiter was stuck at 8500 (I didn’t notice it in the setup and there it stayed).
When Shark passed by I knew I was not even near to be able to go with him.

Near the end I was still able to close the gap to pops and put some pressure on him trying to fight for 3rd in class. Fortunately for me he made a small mistake which just gave me opportunity to gain one position.
All in all to bad, as I managed to get 3rd in class to keep a tight fight for the championship and put some points for the team as well which still keep a hope for fighting till the end in there too.

Tomorrow is my son Alexandre 5th birthday and we’ll be throwing a party for his school friends and next Sunday we’ll have a big family party for his anniversary. I’ll more then probably will be absent for Jerez unless it ends earlier then 7pm.

Congrats for the winners Rich and Mark

Feel sorry for those with technical issues, I thought I was going to join you. The ADSL went down twice between me starting the server and the end of qualifying. I was not expecting it to last the race, I did but it wasn't a particularly auspicious outing.

Had several interesting game quirks again, even though there must have been 30 free garage slots I was put in the open at the far end by the traffic lights. When I did my pit stop the arrow was above a slot before the 1st garage at on the pit entrance  Undecided Just to wind me up more I got a track cutting warning on entering the pits even tho I never left the track  Shocked

Because of the ADSL drop out I start next to last but with Luis behind me so I expected to be last pretty quickly. I managed to avoid the carfuffal at the start with Mav's car stuck on track. But they the places I gained there were lost as Shark and another dived passed me in to T1 next time round. After that it was fairly boring. A couple of battles with Gerald were all that were left during the race.

Really impressed with the way everyone else has improved, seems I hit my peak in this game 2 seasons ago and just haven't clicked in the the way everyone else has and understood how to get quicker Embarrassed

Sorry to Truetom and the rest of the guys who had the technical problems, really bad luck guys Sad

My problems were all of my own making  Angry

I was nicely in 3rd although with Luis catching me pretty quickly when I suddenly noticed I'd somehow screwed up the fuel and was desparately trying to work out whether I'd be able to make it to the end when I made a mistake and allowed Luis to pass.

It wouldn't have mattered anyway as I had to make the pit-stop with one lap to go with just 1 litre of fuel left. In my panic I just hit 'enter' so got new tyres, 40 mins of fuel and the car repaired. What a pathetic mistake to make Roll Eyes

Anyway, I'm so happy that Mark got the win, you really deserve that mate after you've driven so well over the last couple of months Afro

Why are there no wheels in the replay? Huh

It's a bug in the server. They only fixed in GTL v1.1.
Soon we'll have GTR2 and not have worry about all these ISI bugs.

Gutted i am going to miss next round at the new track Jerez  :'(  The NGT championship is still wide open with anyone from the top 6 able to score good points with 3 rounds to go. Its shaped up into a great championship again with driver and team honours up for grabs. Shame i had to miss a couple of rounds of this tourney. Sad

NGT Legends sitting nicely on the top of the team places  Cool

I'll be cheering on Pops and Don (in my head) whilst relaxing by a sunny pool.  Kiss

Seems like the worst possible result (for me) came out of the Estoril race, as now I'm 3rd!  dots  More so as I saw I outpaced Shark and Louis in the race pace and I dare to say I could win, despite MJ being faster than Shark. Too bad he didn't show in NGT Sprint in Estoril.  Undecided

Whatever the results of the next races I must say I'm pleased with my progress in GTR and I'm also pleased with the progress of all the drivers here, good job guys!  thumbup1

And more, driving standard is high up, very few contacts, resulting entirely of driving motivation, all with the spice of good driving and fair behavior on track. No ignorant punting nonsense anymore from Season 1 (sorry again, Fozz!) when we hardly knew (and cared about) the position of others on track. Good to race with you all!
