That was me. It can be hard to judge the pace of the guy in front of you when the lap isn't being taken at a proper speed. I was in the same position as you, having to hurry to catch up and close the gap, then having to brake hard suddenly. Probably best to follow to the side of the guy in front rather than directly behind, especially on wide tracks.

Got to say for us at the back the grid, the warm up lap was an absolute nightmare, one minute were going flat out and next we almost stopped dead. Dont normally qualify at the rear (or the front lol) of the grid, so im not sure if this is down to a natural concertena affect or an erractic pace lap by cars ahead.

With the limiter in use at the end there's no need to try and stay glued to the bumper of the car in front, because you know you'll have time to catch up at the end of the lap. If the gap grows ahead I just carry on warming stuff up and don't worry about it until near the end of the lap.

Does anyone know the forum name of Phil Kerins? Cant see his name in the member list

OSiriS; you can match driving names to forum IDs from a race by going to the appropriate results page and hovering your mouse cursor over the name you think it might be.

I was sorry to see you run wide a those few times, you kept the race interesting:) That car must have been a handful. I took the easy way out and went for the more predictable Elan.

Is there any way of changing my name of my driver, without creating a whole new user?

If it works like rFactor (it probably does) you can just change the name of the directory within UserData and the name of the .PLR file inside that too. Worth a try but make a backup first!

Yes it does work, that's how I changed my name when I made "a few" team changes  Grin

It's a similar speed to the Healey - not as fast in a straight line but lighter and quicker in the bends. It is one of the slower GTC-65s but a lot quicker than the Elite! Cheesy
