Hmm, can't find it

Ah, I don't have the stock track, why is that?

Okay, found the mod. Installing now...

FMG's connected ok, did you spot the recent change to the 36 pit version?

Link is here max, it lives inside the stock Zandvort folder and acts as a track variant.

Well despite the carnage that was the most fun I had in a long while  Grin

First off apologies to Kimi for T1,  totally my fault but I had nowhere to go other than sit on the brakes and hope (I should have practised on race fuel!)  Sad

Seconds apology to Maxime, again T1 at the start of lap 9,  I thought you'd seen me and left room, but looking at the replay I was a bit optimistic sending it in there!

By lap 15 I was doing quite, had recovered to 5th and was catching Fabri in front quite quickly when all heck broke lose, first Mark had his off and 5th became 4th, and then on lap 16 Fabri and VVA had a touch at the last chicane and both spun, and I n00bed it straight into Fabri and bent my right front suspension, meanwhile Mark had recovered and a couple of seconds later goes flying through the very small gap between us all and retakes 2nd!

Sadly after that I had no speed as the car didn't want to turn right at all, and had to just try and bring it home in 1 piece, so the last 20 minutes were a bit less frantic and a lot more worrying as somehow in the last incident I'd got some nasty gearbox damage too and I was trying not to repeat Zolder.

Congrats to FMG on winning and Mark on a deserved 2nd place.

Now can someone please point me to a good setup shop because I'm struggling to work this car out...

What another cracking but tough event that was. Had a bit of everything!

Qually was intense, smashed my pb by 7/10ths but still got pipped by Max by a few hundredths into 3rd  Tongue

Race start from 4th was good but thought I was in for a long race trying to chase the top 3 but surprisingly I saw Max spin at T1 on the outside so could slot thru the inside line with my fellow Brabham chasing  Smiley that was handy! I then attacked Fabri in every turn knowing his car normally struggles a bit on cold tyres. About 2 or 3 laps later he oversteered off at t3 and I was 2nd  Shocked
I steadily pulled away from the chasing pack with my team mate in 3rd and all was good, just got my head down. But with 19mins left on the clock and a 12 second gap back to 3rd I suddenly got a full screen critical error message from my Rift telling me a battery was low in a hand controller ffs  Roll Eyes I lost all visuals and had to scramble about for the flipping controller to cancel the message.  Angry
Thankfully the AC screen came back on with my car up against some Armco off track and with cars going past  Cry. Think I lost about 20 seconds in all.
Around two laps later when I was thinking this sim Racing can be cruel sometimes and rue-ing my lost places, I entered the chicane chasing Max only to see all 3 cars that had passed me stranded in dis-array! I made the instinctive thread between them and sped on my way not believing my luck  Shocked laugh
Back to my 2nd place! (Thanks sim-gods!)  Tongue
However Max soon appeared on my tail and I got no rest to the flag with him in my mirrors for different parts of the track while I seemed quicker in others.

Finished a fine 2nd place and hard earned, but deserved in my humble opinion  Smiley my car was a reluctant handful here and really felt I had to manhandle it like a Mansell drive  Tongue
Well done Tim on the win and Max for third  thumbup1

I'm sure you went full Obi-wan at the chicane Mark,   when I got there the gap was non-existent!

Now to quickly go O/T,  which version of Charade are we running next week, long(8km) or short(4km) Huh I'd say short as it has a better mix of slow / fast turns for overtaking...

I had the benefit of following you in and saw you coming to a halt. So it was a split second decision, the beauty of the Rift (when its not throwing up an error message!) is i could quickly look at all 3 cars and their wheels and quickly judge they were stationary/offline enough for me to risk nipping through. Also knew i could trust the drivers involved to not instantly light up their tyres and plough into me!  Tongue

Charade, not sure i havent looked at it for months. Was hoping to check it out tonight and decide. It really should be the 8km version as that was used up until 1989 when the new short version opened.

I rarely make contacts, but yesterday I did a massacre. In 45 minutes I did 2 kills.  Roll Eyes

Many apologies to VVA. I hit him on the chicanes after a long battle.
This is only my fault. We were quite side by side, I arrived along the braking of the chicanes and touched the rear wheel of VVA. I didn't want to make a real attack, because I was far enough back (my Ferrari was slow on the straight), but I wanted to stay behind, staying on the inside curb. Unfortunately I came a little long, with a slight blockage of the wheels. I unlocked the wheels and steered, but I couldn't avoid the contact. VVA had left a lot of room, so only my fault. Sorry again.

Not happy with this mess, after a few laps, I had another contact, this time with Maxime. This was mostly a misunderstanding. He had serious tire problems, so he went slowly in the corners. At the hairpin he entered a little in sideways and wide, slowing down a lot too, so I had the inside door open. I was moving side by side in complete safety (no understeer and reduced speed), but Maxime didn't notice that I was there and closed slightly the trajectory and we touched each other. I tried to wait for him, but I saw that he was calmly returning to the track, so I started pushing again. Pardon!

My race started very badly, with a half-spin during the 3rd lap on the exit of hairpin. A brutal oversteer without warning and without even an apparent reason.
This car is TERRIBLE.
She is terrible especially at in the first laps with full fuel and cold tires, the car does not give feeling. In addition, which is not very important, I also have to load 10-15 liters more fuel than the others. I didn't like the 312T and I still don't like, in fact I hate her.  Angry

I'm sorry to have ruined the VVA's race, he is often having a lot of bad luck and is collecting results below his potential.

Congratulations to the podium and for the excellent battles.

Was nice race, ive had lot of fun, many duels. Interesting and skill-demanding track with place to overtake and even for little mistakes, still some time to have rest along the lap. Great balance!
Fab i still haven't seen replay but it wasn't critical incident, at least I'm not disappointed at all, shit happens) was great fight!
Grats to fast guys at podium!

The race was fun for half a dozen laps or so while holding off spinners I managed to get past at the start, but I'm consistently 4 seconds or so off the pace, which means I'm not really racing anyone. I can never find enough time to practice unfortunately, and these cars are not easy to drive. I'm not ready to give up on this series yet, but I'm not sure how to improve at this point...

Quite an intense race. Had a good start and slotted into 4th into Tarzan. A few laps later the F312T hit the armco and I was up to 3rd, just behind my teammate. Had quite a bit of pressure from behind, that made for some good racing. I had not made a lot of effort with my setup and that showed, as i had to fight understeer. This made me overdrive the car on the exits and had a spin exiting tarzan a few laps later.
The overall pace is pretty high, so no real chance of clawing back positions. As a mater of fact I found a very quick BRM on my rear and had to take out all the Zandvoort tricks to keep in front!

Here some impressions from the race.
