Cripes that's a fast track! Shocked Best time so far 1:00.8 but I think the fastest drivers will be down into the 57s.

I managed a 1:08 with a bit of an off, but then I always tend to be slower with single seaters.  Not quite up to scratch with the lack of traction at the  back under acceleration.

I looked at something completely new - Istanbul, but I think it's a very hard circuit to learn in such a short space of time. Extremely challenging but too many blind corners. Montreal feels very fast and nicely done but I'm a bit concerned about FPS at Montreal. Loads of circuits to choose from.

Watkins nice short lap so maybe a bit more competitive.

Note added about taking a GBR skinned car if and only if you wish to be considered for an official ASRWC Team Great Britain spot.

Slight panic there at 1 minute lap times, then realised you were on NASCAR track when I've had a quick go on GP track. Got to say its pug ugly but the GP track is very quick, fun and real grippy. Hope the cut down version is just as good.

I'm obviously going mader then. Sure it was GP hence the practice server running GP and not NASCAR.

Not that anyone complained  Tongue

I must have missed you all, still good fun with the four of us Smiley. Race was a bloody disaster again, I don't half get caught out by cold tyres, but top little battle with Don. The sparks flying around really get the adrenalin going  Grin.

I hope to practice more if further races are planned.

Enjoyable stuff again even with only 4.

Watkins NASCAR is very fast banked corners are something different, but not challenging enough in the long run. Will pick one with more corners next week.

Couldn't get anywhere near my PB in first event, then spun on cold tyres having snatched the lead from Shark into T1 thanks to a more generous spread of gear ratios.

Felt a bit better about my spin in race two though when SbG and Shark did the same in unison, handing me the lead. With Shark's setup I finally found some rhythm again and set a new PB of 60.5, but between the heat and the time I lost concentration for a moment and went off in the Esses, letting Shark by. After that I just never got it back together again and eventually retired after losing the front wing.

Was it just me or was that track built out of what felt like discrete slabs of concrete? The rev counter and my head were bobbing up and down up the hill and along the back straight into Speed Trap. It felt much too grippy too, unless The 90 (final turn) is much wider radius than it was in the GPL days.
