I found it the opposite, could never find enough grip. Best I managed was a 62.2 Sad

Thanks Pete. Cool

So are we going to talk about turning this mod into a working championship? Would attendence be better if we did (and the weather was cooler Tongue)?

Wednesday nights are not good for me otherwise I might have tried to join. It's also been too hot recently to go near the gaming PC. I've already ditched the projector to keep the heat sources down. Think I might have to invest in one of those aircon thingies to keep me cooler in the race Wink

Was it just me or was that track built out of what felt like discrete slabs of concrete? The rev counter and my head were bobbing up and down up the hill and along the back straight into Speed Trap. It felt much too grippy too, unless The 90 (final turn) is much wider radius than it was in the GPL days.

I race the rollbar view rather than cockpit as I just get motion sick with all the bouncing up and down and stuff racing cockpit views in any game. I do think the track is wider than the GPL version though. Perhaps it's more accurate than the GPL version, or it has changed.

Hee hee. Must admit it was ridiculous yesterday. I played tennis before hand in the sunshine and I had to stop after a while through heat exhaustion. Came home and raced rFactor in the heat. Temperature was 29 degrees in our hallway late on in the evening (and even this morning) so add 5 degrees for my study I reckon  :'(. I'm impressed with my PC though, it's on dynamic overclocking for the CPU and the graphics card is on overdrive and no problems with overheating for it so far.

So are we going to talk about turning this mod into a working championship? Would attendence be better if we did (and the weather was cooler Tongue)?

I would like to, but we do need enough people.

We only had 13 in the GT Sprint this week. Suspect that's something to do with the heat too.

Unfortunately I am already committed to another GTL league on Wednesdays (the shame of it). In fact I raced there before I joined you last night so was already in a lather before we started. However, really like this mod and rf in general so will join you when I can. Don't think there is an alternative night? Maybe more room/bigger fields when sprints finish?

After last nights little battle with Don, I believe this one worth the effort  Smiley

Oh Gins you say the nicest things Wink
I enjoyed it every bit as well. Though I wonder in future how I might fair on some of the more technical circuits Embarrassed

Monday night is also possible although it clashes with TPG Euro. With GTR2 delayed until the end of September we could squeeze a short season of ASRWC in on Tuesday nights I suppose.

As GTR2 will be 100% ready for prime-time league racing immediately on release that doesn't give us much time!  Grin

Sounds like a good option Dave. I think I'd probably take part on a Tuesday and I'd like to give rfactor a more extended run-out.

Suits me.

What about circuit choice? There are so many great circuits now.
We could do F1 circuits, or British circuits might be good or whatever really.

I quite like the idea of doing British circuits, although their not all 100% suitable for these fast single seaters.
