FullMetalGasket my prayers with China Mark, Picnic thx a lot guys! Tested Tyrrell 007 a bit today. Made about 10 laps total. Don't know Nords good, so only 6.42. Hard compound. Definitely aero should not be at maximum. But low aero makes it really risky and slower. I keep it at 7/5 now, may be 6/4. Expecting 6.30-s from our "alien" guys or even faster. Can't decide about suspension stiffness, my springs are about 70 percent now. Softs somehow make her slower or maybe im just noob)

I'm in the 6:40's too so far after about 10 laps, so similar pace vva. I had 55L of fuel onboard and hards. Typically on my fastest lap i outbraked myself in the penultimate corner and threw the lap away I was on 6/4 wing, but still suffering understeer in too many corners, i think its just the hard tyres lack of overall grip. Ideal spring rates is still a mystery, need to test a few options.

improved a bit, 6.39 now. Wings 7/5, fuel 45 L. I found playing with different springs gave no results. Kept same settings, but reduced both front/rear ARB - feels better. Actually driving style gives much more gain, i just was gentle with her except revs update: P34 feels just awesome here in tight parts, but lacks speed in fast section so, 6.46 only.

thats all that extra drag (and weight!) from the spare set of wheels is there an app (in-game or mod) to tell if your hitting the ground around a lap? I have raised the car but through ffb it feels like it might still be skimming the road surface in some places.

You can either use Motec or AIM external telemetry programs in combination with the telemetry files the game makes
OR
open the file \Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\system\cfg\assetto_corsa.ini
and change the line
[AC_APPS] ENABLE_DEV_APPS=0
to
[AC_APPS] ENABLE_DEV_APPS=1
now you have live physics / telemetry app in game so you can see heights etc as you drive

i have Motec, just not used it for a long time as we've been running classics and mod cars and assumed it would be useless with this 70's f1 mod I have dev-apps enabled so will look for that ride height telemetery thanks. Dont think i've looked at any of those apps for well over a year or so.

I'm sure its useful with anything if you know how to read the data - something I should learn to do. I just make my setups by the "seat of the pants" method

Yeah i'm all for old school setup, rather than telemetry for older race cars, however we cant feel our butts scraping on the floor due to hardware limitations! so would be handy for the app to tell us Maybe i need to stiffen my springs a bit more to cope with the numerous compressions and extensions. Had to go out last night so no more laps for me yet i love this track despite its ease to bite back, so could happily spend an evening blatting around it if i had the time. Hope to get on the server this eve.

Bah had a rubbish practise sesh tonight was too tired and kept making silly mistakes, running wide, clumping Armco and compromising my laps. Improved my pb but got a 6:38/9 in me as I was 2.7 secs up in flutzenbach? Near end of the lap, When I lost connection to the server

Well I'm not racing the Mclaren there, it's impossible to make a setup that can handle the foxhole and other places because the suspension alignment settings are broken. Once you get over a certain ride height the front toe alignment goes mental and theres no adjustment left. Also has awful bump steer too, massive amoutns of toe change on big bumps.
I just checked a few other cars and they at least have proper suspension adjustment when you change ride height, so it seems I picked a lemon...

If Mark can be convinced then maybe take a loaner for tomorrow? Harald Ertl has rung in sick so if you asked Lord Hesketh nicely he'd probably like a spare driver I can give you my race setup too if you like, whether you can drive with it is another thing of course If you're happy with that Mark I can edit the server files tomorrow after work to ensure Max has an appropriately liveried car for the race

I'd normally not like the change but know the Mclaren has something wrong with its suspension as could tell as soon as i tested it way back when. Can only imagine its faults exasperated here. So fine by me

I can give you my race setup too if you like, whether you can drive with it is another thing of course That's a very generous offer and I'll take you up on that In the meantime I'll try to find time to make my own because... I'd normally not like the change but know the Mclaren has something wrong with its suspension as could tell as soon as i tested it way back when. Can only imagine its faults exasperated here. So fine by me Quite a disappointment after finding speed last week, but this week I have the same problems as I had at Charade but worse. Looking at upcoming tracks is it possible to just run the Hesketh for the last few races as I'm sure at least Monza is going to be a nightmare with those bumps on the banking...
