Hi guys,
Hopefully you had great holiday season.
It is exactly 2 months to season start and I am more aggressively start concentrating setting it up. While I had some plans morphing the championship sort of hybrid between UKGTL's standard formats and the one we have been using, I am running out of time to make it successfully happen this year and we will continue more or less with the same format as previous years.

However I want to thank a lot Tony about his help and getting me rights to see how the system works and I am terribly sorry that I was not able to make it happen this year. It was totally my own lack of time. you provided all the stuff to make it happen, but the implementing my idea running two races at the same exact time needs some more planning. It will happen later, hopefully next year.

Anyways, I am hoping to make some car line up changes and track roster will be rewamped as well, so hopefully it will provide some great races. Another change will be longer summer break: most likely we will have summer break from mid June to early August.

As said, our first free Monday race slot is 15th of March, so we will start then. Smiley Or maybe week after that, if test races will be needed.

I'll try to keep this thread posted occasionally. Smiley

Today I really started to go thru the car set. This year I concentrate even more to make the cars like their real world counterparts, but there's some new cars in pipeline as well. We'll see which of them will be added to pack eventually. Smiley

I started work with Division 1 cars.

As the only 1969 and group 5 car has been the 970 S, I decided that I has become a time make 1970 Mini 1000 and use that replace the 970 S. 970 S was not homologated in 1970 anymore and so, Mini racers in 1000cc class had to be happy with expensive 998cc Cooper or the buy initially lower powered showroom floor 1000 and tune it up. Of course 998cc is not as good starting point for racing as  970cc was, but you can still tune it to give around 100-105 bhp. Of course that's not enough to keep the Mini in pace with works monsters: 1000BD, Imp or TCR. Even though I have refined them closer to 1970 Group 2 cars, they are still going to be a bit faster. However, Mini might have some other tricks in it's sleeve... And there will be a new kid in town which most likely will sit nicely between the works monsters and Mini... Wink

Things changed so far:
- 1000cc cars physics rewritten
- Replaced Cooper 970 S with BMLC Mini 1000.
- Added 2 new 1000cc cars
- Added new 850cc car
- Removed faster Suzuki Fronte Coupe
- Slower Fronte Coupe physics rewritten

Now working with
- Returning to single tyre compound in division 2
- Rewamping 1300cc  car physics

To do:
- Adding 1 new 1300cc car.
- Rewamping 1600cc car physics.
- Adding more skins to new cars.
- Season calendar rewamp
- Some tiny rule changes.
- organizing test races
- fixing car pack bugs
- Season thread launch. Smiley

It is quite possible that 15. March is just a bit too early, but possible delay is no more than max 2 weeks, so In April we will be racing in full throttle. Smiley

I just send link to Tony about Season Calendar, which is now finalized. Tony helps me with organizing stuff here so that we stay in schedule. Big thanks Tony about all the help. Smiley

Tony also organizes the test races so that I have more time to concentrate finalizing everything. Car list is close to be ready, but I am waiting final decisions about few cars if permission is given to use modified versions.
My plan is release championship thread in 12th of March, but we'll see how things work out. Smiley

Sorry being quiet. THings are still progressing and I am battling to make beta car pack and submit the final track variation selection to Tony.

As Tony and Dave have been putting huge effort, NGLHTC Championships will use this year UKGTL fantastic automatic championship system after all. Smiley Races will show in forthcoming races list with code LN1. Carpack test event will be in 29th of March and it is kindly hosted by Tony leaving me more time to crunch the cars to final version.

We are very close. So stay tuned. Smiley
