2020 NoGrip Legacy Historic TC Championship.

Description:
Online racing series of 28 Races (22 Events) consisting short twin races, normal races, Hill Climbs and Endurance races. Race calendar is fictional Historic Racing Championship with events all around the world. Car selection consists cars that raced in 1969-1973 with some non-existing ones replaced with close match. All cars (except Division 3, over 2000cc class) have physics calibrated to run against each other. The Classification system has five divisions and each having 2 classes. The biggest difference from previous Nogrip Legacy TC-70 series is the new Division ½, which includes two new very low powered classes: up to 500cc and 500 - 700cc. These classes truly make the driver the most important factor, as there's so limited amount of power.

All races have just 2 classes running at the same time and both classes score their own points, but there's two very special events in which there is two divisions running, but in that case points are given per Division, not per class. These two are tagged in calendar with SPECIAL keyword. As these events are exceptionally hard, they will also score more points than others. In these, The scoring will be announced later.

Season is basically divided in two halves: first 14 races are before July and the rest are after July. (July is kept as summer break so to speak.)

Races will be held on mondays (race calendar below) with one exception race being in Saturday. Race start time is usually around 20:00 GMT/BST. Exact race time and qualifying session start time will be stated in each race invitation.

Car Rules:
  • No limit on how many times you can use each car.
  • Every start in new class scores 3 extra points, so 24 points available by just driving cars in every class!

Points system:
  • Starting in class that driver has not yet started: 3 points. (as stated above.)
  • Fastest guy in DIVISION: 1 point.
  • Points per CLASS by position:
    • 1st:   9 points
    • 2nd:   8 points
    • 3rd:   7 points
    • 4th:   5 points
    • 5th:   4 points
    • 6th:   3 points
    • 7th:   2 points
    • 8th:   1 point
  • Note that position points are given by CLASS position. So at least 2 drivers will score 9 points as there's 2 classes per Division.

Five different champions:
  • Division ½ champion
  • Division 1 champion
  • Division 2 champion
  • Division 3 champion
  • Overall Champion

Special Notes:
  • Each race invitation will have notes about allowed classes and also how it is going to be scored. There is only two SPECIAL tagged events, in which case points will be upgraded as the events are exceptionally hard.
  • The time based races are really time based as I found way to organize real time based races. This means that when the race starts, clock starts counting down and when the time is up, race will be checkered flagged. Smiley (Thanks Geoffers helping to find this loophole in GT Legends. Smiley )
  • Just like in the 2019, The Nurburgring will really be 500kms race. Race will take around 3 and half hours, so preparation highly recommended. Also use of second driver is allowed, but only one of the drivers will score points.
  • I will try to organize few test races before season start. Those will be announced as usual with Race Invitations in this thread.

Notice the changed event order and date for the Ronde Cevenole Sprint Special.
Due having my first work trip in 14 years, I had to reschedule it to 6th of April.

You got it spot on. We will race tomorrow evening in Mondello Park two races. One per new division. Smiley

Now that I have returned home, I will post complete test race invitation soon.

Don't forget to specify which variant of Mondello Park you are planning to use.

I'm probably being super stupid, but what do the colours mean in the results?

I did some cleaning up and added color explanations under the overall points. Hopefully it is easier to read now. Smiley

As the current world situation has changed a bit my schedule, I had to re-arrange next week's race. Instead of very tedious Ronde Cevenole, we are heading to Puech Arnal Hillclimb with division 1 cars.
Invitation thread will follow.
