What's the advantage of preordering over just buying in a shop? I always buy my products in the shop, because then I can have it immediatly in my hands. With online buying you have to wait for the shipping and the delivery? So why do so many people do it that way, it ain't always cheaper. I might be missing something....no, not between my bellybutton and my knees

Game and gameplay have always delivered on the day before the official release date when I've pre-ordered with them. Usually the internet price is still cheaper even with ~£1.50 worth of postage.

Over here games tend to be about 20-40% more expensive on stores. I'd rather wait a couple days longer and save the €10-15.

All in the price here in the UK Ruskus. Products bought from shop are usually £30 or £35, whereas online that would be £20-£25 usually with FREE delivery. That and I don't live/work anywhere i can go into a store on a weekday and get it and as some say you can get them delivered on the release date.

Of course the other thing is the last 2 games I bought pre-ordered were GTL and GTR, both of which I got from Amazon Germany cause you couldn't get them at all in the UK so that was the quickest we could get them. rFactor was bought and downloaded online (so very convienient) and so was NkPro. Quake 4 I bought a long time after release so speed wasn't an issue.
I guess the same will be true of GTR2 (that I have to preorder from Germany), but we'll find out nearer the end of September how the distribution is going.

Oooh, nice find! I personally prefer Play.com but I'll order from Gameplay if Play don't have it on their site come early Sept.
