Good stuff Stefan, glad you can make the last round  Smiley

There was some secret test stuff going on at the track last night.  detective Some of Enzo's cars were being tested and evaluated by the Tyrell camp. Not sure Harvey Posthlewaite knows whats going on, but can bet Enzo has shifted some lira their way  shifty  yes fabri and vva i am looking at you laugh

I didnt know this track layout at all so bit of a learning curve for my brief practise last night. Nice smooth flowing curves in some sectors but then a couple of clumsy horrible corners as well  Tongue

The Ferrari and Tyrell teams have made cross-tests. Eng Forghieri managed to find an agreement for this thing, obviously the Drake knew nothing.

The strange thing with six wheels is very funny to drive. A fun that I missed from 14 races. Car is so easy to controll on the edge, as most of the cars in the pack.
Anyway I continue racing with Ferrari, I will try to bring home a decent result.

Tomorrow is going to be very interesting for me.
My Rift broke at the weekend and is currently on a lorry heading north for replacement..

As a result I get to see if my assertion that I'm a second faster in VR holds up to scrutiny.
I'm pretty low on the lap times currently but am not sure how many cars were actually on hards like me.
Even if I'm fastest on hards currently I know I'm slow, I can't hit apex's to save my life at the moment and everything seems tiny and far away  Grin

Might have to try the old secret weapon from GPL - booze!

An ongoing boiler replacement last few days has meant I’ve only had one half session on a track I don’t know that well  Cry not exactly great prep for a final race of the season with 2nd in the championship up first grabs  Sad. I don’t even know yet if the plumber will still be here this evening, really hope not.

Race day season finale gentlemen, let’s make it a good one  Smiley

@SRW, are you okay for server duties this evening?

I had my most competitive race by far this season. Even threatened top 6 in q. But as at almost every race I got caught in someone else's incident on the first lap, turn 1 of the first lap this time. I think someone braked way too late (or didn't brake at all), went through the middle of the cars, clipped me and then I think another car hit me, pushing me far off into the run off at t1, with yellow damage on all sides of the car. I fell to last place, but passed three cars on the track. Had some real good battles with Bob and Kimi. After catching up with postal we spent quite a few laps driving close together, me inching closer all the time, then losing a bit with minor mistakes. Until about two laps to go, I got out of shape coming out of turn 10 and lightly clipped the barriers on the inside of turn 11. Somehow that completely broke the steering. Luckily I was right on pit entrance so I went in, fixed the damage and got out a couple of seconds ahead of the leader. I really wanted to stay on the lead, and I saw Maxime had something like a 6 second lead, so I didn't let him trough. But in my eagerness to stay ahead I made several smaller mistakes throughout the lap, and Maxim was right on me on the s/f straight. I tried to let him pass at t1, but he slowed as well, so I stayed ahead, and finished the race on the lead lap, for the first time this season I believe.

You had the Tyrrel flying Syd. Nice job. And that car looks great on track too.

I was the other victem at T1. Made a very decent start but got rear ended and flew off track with damage to the car.
Luckely the car was still driveable and got into a fight with Bob and then had a great battle with Kimi, swapping places over and  over for quit some laps. Gained another place when Oliver's BRM hit the armco in the latter stages.
Other then the T1 incident great racing and another solid result by my team mate, clincing 2nd in race and overall.

It was a real joy driving this series. Thanks for organising this MJ and congrats to the top 3 in this championship!

First off....Massive congratulations to peerless FMG for winning the F1 1975 World championship   clap  I Am Not Worthy

Secondly, thanks to all that participated weekly and made it a great little series, i thoroughly enjoyed that one, up there with my fave sim racing experiences ever i think  thumbup1  The combination of a fantastic looking and sounding set of cars, close competition and a Rift in open seaters made it awesome.  Cool

Thirdly, i got second in the championship   probably my best ever overall finish  Smiley and i do believe that Team Legends may have secured the constructors/Team championship  thumbup2 so well done to Stefan and i  Smiley

Great race and qually again last night, loved it.

Qually was very competitive and with only about 2 mins to go i really had to up my game as i was languishing down in about 6th despite a mid 1:40 time  Shocked  I took a late pitstop, put just enough fuel in and reduced my rear wing to 3 and went for it....got 3rd for a 2nd row slot Grin  I was pretty relieved as meant less fast cars to deal with on the opening laps on cold tyres.

Race start was good and slotted in behind the front 2 but vva mounted his customary assaullt while i was on cold hards and i had to drive quite defensively for a few laps. Once again the Rift helped massively as a quick glance left or right told me where his nose was without me moving across into it in braking zones etc. I think he also had Fabri nipping at his heels. After about 5 laps i started to pull away from them but just couldnt close the 5-7 sec gap to the front fast two. They were always tantalising just a corner ahead but neither seemed to make any errors or lose time.
It stayed that way for the whole race until about 5mins from the end when i flew out of T3 to see Tim recovering from an off of some sorts  Shocked  so now i was upto 2nd and closing fast on Maxime, but i think he had started to coast to the flag.

Big congrats to Maxime on the well earned win  thumbup1 nice to see another name on the podium step  Smiley

Well done also to Syd who showed impressive pace in qually  Shocked great improvement in pace  Smiley

Thats it from me for a while, big thankyou to all who attended the races and series for the last few years  cowboy
