Moderator's Report

No reported incidents.
However there was a serious collision on Lap 1 between Tristan and Ziu who were in close contention for the lead.
Because it was a lap 1 incident, it has been reviewed.
Both cars involved were side by side approaching the turn and equally determined not to yield the lead. Tristan provokes a rally style slide into the corner from quite a long way out and Ziu maintains a more normal line on the inside.
It is fair to say that both drivers were at the limit of car control on cold tyres with full tanks and both cars were snaking under braking. Upon close inspection of the replay there is no actual contact and it has been decided that warp played a major part in sending Tristan over the top of the banking.
Racing Incident. refer both drivers to this advice https://www.ukgpl.com/rec_dvr_beh/rec_driver_beh.htm

Server replay time: 0

Once again pitstops were required by the Pro drivers and the race post clearly states that they cannot be taken on Lap 1 or Lap 25.
Tristan made his 3rd and final stop at the end of the last lap. The rules were in place to prevent drivers gaining an advantage by doing this. A car taking a pitstop mid race will suffer a "slow down" penalty on the in lap, and also a "speed up" penalty on his out lap. By taking a stop at the chequered flag the driver avoids losing the "speed up" time.
Therefore rather than a DQ, the driver is penalised with 3x the gain. A 15 second penalty is applied.

I have just installed the font fix and now I can see the text in replays. So now, I know that I have to apologise to you Axel for the start of the Jops Race  oops

I could not read the name of the car that I hit before, but it was entirely my fault. Sorry my friend, I expect better of myself  no no

re the double header problem

After the end of race1 I looked into the drivers list behind the (left) main menu where the numbers are shown.

- I could see that the driver took their # of race 1 into race2 - but after the track was fully loaded the numbers got fresh assigned and changed.
Re joining drivers got fresh numbers, so I thought all is fine...
BUT
After the race 2 I looked into the GPLRA txt and found 2x doublettes!

So for future Double Events it is a no go to stay on the server...
Great work Axel, looks like you got to the root of the problem.

I wonder if drivers leaving and joining the server in qually causes similar issues?

We have a rule that drivers cannot swap chassis but the evidence that this sort of behaviour actually causes "doublettes" has never been proven AFAIK. It is a rule we inherited many years ago but the origin has been lost.

No!
in a single race there is no problem even when you change 3 cars!

I saw the car numbers correctly changing,
but maybe there is a memory misadressing in the gplc65.exe as it produced 2x doublettes afterwards.

I will discuss this with the mod team in their forum.

first sorry Axel for the touch on the Moon, I wanted let you maximum room but I touch the dust of the moon and that make me slide on your car ...! the challenge was the cooper and you manage it well Smiley ...the handicap work too Smiley and the track is cool...
2nd race was more tuff as after have been push out track by Ziu in first lap, I have to let pass everybody to re-take the track.... last! after I try a "remontada" as I can...
Thx all, it was a good tribute to Joe and good fun races...

i had some problems with the stop races.
i thought it would be a advantage with the bt7 only 3 stops to have as a must.

The range between the pro's is big.

But i had also troubles with crashes and mistakes, freezes...
Not my favorite race style but we can retry
