Tristan Clips the rear of Enrique's rear end going into turn 1, at the start of lap 3.
The crash boxes intervene before there is actual contact but this does not qualify as a warp incident - see Warp Penalty page. Tristan was just too close momentarily and the contact registered on Enrique's car because of the unavoidable latency issues.
As a general note, under GPL rules there is no obligation for a driver who has caused an incident to wait for the victim. Waiting is at the discretion of the drivers involved & should always take care not to cause any obstruction or accidents with following cars.

Season 36 1967F1 – Round 5 –  Mount Panorama- Seniors

Season 36 is a joint series between GPL Brazil and UKGPL. This post is for the Senior division.
For Round 3 we visit Mount Panorama Motor Racing Circuit Bathurst a motor racing track located in Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia. It is best known as the home of the Bathurst 12 Hour motor race, held each February, and the Bathurst 1000 motor race, held each October. The track is 6.213 km (4 mi) long, and is technically a street circuit, as the circuit is a public road when no racing events are being run, and there are many residences which can only be accessed from the circuit. The track is an unusual design by modern standards, with a 174-metre (570-foot) vertical difference between its highest and lowest points, and grades as steep as 1:6.13. From the start-finish line, the track can be viewed in three sections; the short pit straight and then a tight left turn into the long, steep Mountain straight; the tight, narrow section across the top of the mountain itself; and then the long, downhill section of Conrod Straight, and the turn back onto pit straight to complete the lap.

I didn´t expect this lucky win as Renato dropped, he was much faster on track, I would never have a chance. From start on a quiet race for me with no cars around, so I could do it savely and focused, only had to save a lot of fuel the last 10 laps, seems that something went wrong when calculating.
Congratulations to Mr Bot (hopefully watching the replay) & Eduardo for P3!! and all who bended this tricky track!

Now we are approaching mid-season, it is probably a good time to acquaint the drivers who are new to UKGPL to some of the rules and guidelines we have on our website. I didn't want to do this too early in case it put people off, there is a lot to read if English is not your first language.

Everything is accessible via the "Navigation" pane on the top left corner of the homepage.

The rules pages are here.

Penalty guidelines are here. These guidelines are intended to ensure we are consistent when making judgments about incidents.

Some penalty guidelines have detailed examples, see here.

There is some advice on driving etiquette. With some recommendations and a detailed description about the use of mirrors.

Most of the time drivers are very considerate but occasionally mistakes are made and incidents do occur. To prevent arguments on the forum, UKGPL uses an incident reporting system to allow the moderators to arbitrate and where necessary award penalties or offer advice.  We do this using the court system. Instructions on how to submit incident reports is here.

Please be assured, the purpose of the court system is not to be overly draconian. The objective at UKGPL is to have fun but that can only be achieved if we all drive responsibly and with due consideration for others. The court system allows the moderators to review incidents in a fair and objective manner so we can all learn from them. The moderators will where appropriate, enforce the rules and where necessary revise the rules to improve the driving experience for everyone.

Thx Phil for remind  Smiley
I'm very happy that we have increased the field of racers joining with GPL Brasil, a nice bunch of drivers, but I have to complain about my connection from Italy to the Brasilian server that has compromised some races cause I have an average of 300 ms of latency with an ADSL 12/1 Mbs like I had in the old times o 33k modems. Usually I am on 100 ms on USA and UK servers.
In this race, as mentioned by Bastian, I had a crash cause, following Bastian in the downhill esses, his cars was wawing badly on my pc cause the high latency and when he rode the banking before the last hairpin I thought he would have rebounded in the middle of the track so I slowed down, instead he could continue unscated, but also Enrique, that was following me in his Cooper, was caught off by delay of signal and couldn't avoid me.
I don't know if others European drivers are experiencing the same problem, but I ask all to consider my high latency when we race close as we had to do in the first years of GPL that we have already forgotten and maybe some of the younger drivers have never experienced.  wheelchair  Grin

There haven't been many problems reported about my server which we use for the 55s and there are plenty of European and South American based drivers in that series. Perhaps it would be worth trying my server for one of the 67F1 Senior races?  It can't be the next one (at Spa) because we will be using it for the Junior race but maybe the round after that, Riverside?
