First time I've touched GTL in months ... and it showed, had a good battle with Bill (sorry for the tap early on btw) untill the leaders came past, and then I had a few off track capers after spending too much time looking in the mirrors and lost touch with everyone after that.  With the short laps, I was constantly checking my rear view, and with the 350 being a bit of a handful I dropped back and decided to retire.

I'll be getting more (i.e some) oractice in for the next event....

Very enjoyable race, but I'm dizzy now.

Qualified 8th with a decent time. Lost a couple places early on when I made a couple mistakes, but worked my way up to 6th after some good battles. Caught Dave on the last lap, but couldn't get close enough to think about a move, good 5th place. Thought the backmarkers were very aware when I came past to lap them, made it a stress-free experience. Lost some time on occasion, but that's to be expected.

Sorry about drifting across you like that JohnnyDee. Was trying to give you room on the outside, but got a wheel on the grass and started sliding around. Only just managed to hold onto it.

All in all a good race, but the track IMO is not suited for racing a big field. Lapping was really difficult and there were many close situations.

Au contraire, I thought the backmarkers made life very interesting. Very tough to find a way past when they're in a fight of their own in cars every bit as fast as your own. Had to hustle my way through after a couple of laps behind the big pack of ex-ProLeS because Aagramn was really catching me and my tyres felt decidedly second hand. Settled back down into a more comfortable rhythm after getting back into some space but another 2 or 3 laps and I'd have lost a place for sure.

Not sure what happened to Johnny Dee, did you bend something when playing in the sandpit with Dan? You still seemed quicker after you rejoined and I effectively let you past but after that you seemed to be a bit all over the place as if you either had knackered tyres or bent suspension?

Hi Guys
rik is my lobby name as asked 4
Great fun at Brands
Pedro_grozni had the measure of me for almost 2/3 of race, I followed keeping from 1 to 2 seconds apart and tried to keep the rubber on the tyres.
Due to a back marker i closed right up on him and pressed hard for about 3 laps, the great turn 1 and Pero pushed her alittle to hard and spun which gave me enough of a gap to bring the race home.
All the drivers were fantatstic and the drivers letting people through did a great job always with in a few corners at most.
All made for a real fun race.

Good race guys and grats to podium. Finished top Ferrari which made me feel better although I was 7th overall. Sorry if I got in the way whilst being lapped was having a bit of a tyre and brake issue at the end. Had a good look at the battle between Assaino and one of the Jags at the beginning. Kept my distance and managed to capatalise on a mistake and get past although I think I lost the place back to the Jag.

Using this race as experience we need to update the ladder scoring if necessary. What was the relative performance like between the cars compared to the scoring that each car currently has? Was it pretty close or does it need some adjustments?

The reason those 3 cars were chosen was because on the scoring they look pretty similarly paced, is that correct?

The only GT350 didn't finish so we'll never know. The Ferrari is probably slightly overrated (or the E-Type underrated) but Assassino was doing a fairly creditable job amongst the middle of the E-Type hoardes until he ran out of go juice.

Not really.
Jag is faster than the Ferrari by about .6~1 sec here and the GT350 is about 2 sec slower per lap than the Jag. On this track that is a big margin.
There are more cases of false clasification - especially the GTC76 class Corvette has a way to high rating - it is acctually quite a bit slower than the 911's.
And in the TC65 the Alfa and Falcon ratings are all wrong - the Alfa will almost always outpace the Falcon - deffinitly in the longer races (tires...)

Don't like add on tracks and would never have willingly chosen any of the three cars to drive BUT what a really good racing experience - with something for everyone right through the field.
Whoever had the idea (Shark or Gizmo I suspect) of choosing those unpopular cars was inspired.
IMO it also closed up the racing because nobody was that expert on any of the cars. Well Done to "The Management"
