Any of the RRE racers here considering taking part in this:

https://forum.sector3studios.com/index.php?threads/raceroom-gp-29-03-20.14587/

I am not interested in the FRX17 event but am thinking about doing the 911GT3 Cup races. Have already set a time on the leaderboard (currently 8th). I am supposed to be at Goodwood that day, but in all likelihood it will be cancelled, if so I will be doing the RRE event, be nice to have a few others here taking part.  thumbup1

ok so i am in for this Sunday with Geoff hopefully and thanks for the setup.
i am really struggling with the new update and finding the right setups as they have all none in-void since the update!
so far i have managed 2:10.884 and i recon the pole time will be around 2:07/2:08 so a little ways to go yet  Undecided

Yeh, should be in the top tier race as I was 28th on the leaderboard in the end (30 in top tier race). Have done a best of 2.09.2, but a time in the 2.08s is definitely possible for me, every time I have been set for it I have messed up the final turn. As John said pole should be in the 2.07s, no way I can do that! Sad

Had not seen the cut off date, I might have made the group2.. so far 2:11.4 and I am usually even more pants with
porkas then "normal" cars. should be a good event. I wonder if there will be a shared replay

Enjoyed both races after a disastrous start to the first one.

Only got one legitimate qually lap in which put me 22nd on the grid, 5 places behind John. Then made a big error at T1, braked too late and ran into two cars ahead, but justice was done as they carried on OK but I ended up facing the wrong way in the middle of the track. Fortunately everyone behind avoided me & I was able to rejoin but dead last!  Gradually made up places as others fell off, had a bit of a dice with another British guy & finished 21st. I think John was 17th.

So started 21st in race 2, only top 10 were reversed. This time I was on the outside into T1 & was able to drive around the crowded inside line & gained about 5 places. Half way around lap 1 several top 10 runners had a coming together which got me up to around 13th. 2 or 3 more then spun out over the opening laps & I got up to 10th with a Frenchman & a Croatian ahead of me & another 3 or 4 cars behind in a long train. The Frenchman eased away, but the Croatian guy was holding us all up & the German behind was eager to get past me. Eventually, with 3 laps left the Croatian ran wide into the long RHer onto the long straight & I got past him & pulled away. So was very happy with 9th place amongst some very quick guys. Even managed to dip into the 2.08s in the second race. Don't know what happened to John, but he quit early on.

First time I had taken part in one of these RRE organised events & thoroughly enjoyed it. Most drivers were very sensible, & after the T1 pushing & shoving there was very little contact, although I did have to delay turn-in to the hairpin a couple of times when drivers behind totally missed their braking point & came flying past.
