Definitely would race them more, they are fun but challenging cars, totally not what I normally like as they don't like a loose turn in type setup which I prefer but ok, there's always space to learn something new. Preferably not on any really tight tracks though, T1 at biker was a nightmare, either grip or die with not much in between - slightly faster turns were good!
yeah i hated turn 1 last night, the car was always trying to spin me out there and did on two occasions. Tried a variety of ARB settings to dial it out but it still didnt like that turn much.
Speaking from the experience of having driven, spun, and narrowly avoiding crashing Formula Fords I would describe these as pretty kind in single seater terms
If there's any interest then I can run the Formula Ford stuff for a test round and you'll see what I mean, when I tried it I thought the author had nailed the handling it's so sharp and unforgiving.
Circuit-wise I have a very suitable line up for these, but some I'll need to test on the server first to make sure they work properly - should do as AI races work...
Never got a chance to try any car other than the one i chose, don't know what differences there are between them all?
The cars in this race were all the same Chassis, the only difference between them was the wheel style. It's possible the 03c's were faster than the 03b's as they were in real life, but in my experience they've always been identical in AC.
For the full series I'll be running all of the makes from the mod, as listed below - these have different characteristics and date from differing time periods but in testing I've done over the past few years they give almost identical laptimes around Bikernieki and some of the other soviet tracks I've lined up for you all. Again, I'll want to run some off line car Vs car tests before the series kicks off to ensure none of the cars suddenly gain an advantage on any of the faster or twistier circuits (Biker is mid-way I'd say).
Not normally a fan of historic cars but this car is fun especially as it is similar to a kart. FMG what are your thoughts on trying it on a track like Brands Hatch Indy?
I'm not adverse to a fun race there (maybe when I allow you all to chose from the full line up of cars), but I already have a full calender of 'Soviet' circuits ready
All the cars are as follows - my only comment for when we head into the series proper (it'll be the 2nd one I run as I want to try and get a decent sized grid and not mess it up) is that the Avia AE2 should only be used by the slowest drivers. It isn't actually faster than the other cars, but the base setup was the closest to being fast out of the box so would give a fast guy an advantage - that said as no-one can drive my setups it might actually be rubbish for the rest of you

https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/raf-80.19563/Feel free to try them all out, maybe do so at Brands Indy - I'll use SRW's suggestion for the next test race in them - that way you won't waste any setups you create
Brands will be timed so it doesn't coincide with a GTlegends race, just so you don't have any excuses
If there's any other feedback then please let me have it - biggest I think is regarding race format. I think the 2x 20 minute races worked really well, as these are single seaters people mostly seemed to be more careful than in previous series on the 2nd race which led to some great action. My worry is these could be boring over 40odd minutes once the field breaks up so I'm not too sure about longer single races..
