Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 0

On lap 7, at Hawthorns turn, Andreas made a clean pass vs Francesco at the inside. Francesco stays at the outside of the turn and distance between the 2 cars was OK.
When suddenly, Andreas car slid and there was a contact between the 2 cars. Francesco's car was ejected out of the track and was out of the race.

Server analysis shows that Andreas was heavily warping. Only Francesco could say if he saw Andreas warping, in its mirrors, before the contact.

By the way, none of the 2 drivers are responsible. But Andreas should do what is possible to avoid warping.

Season 36 Historics Trophy – Round 6 – Brands Hatch
The sixth race in the 1966 Grand Prix series sees us in Brands Hatch in Kent. The first race to be held at Brands Hatch took place on 16th April 1950, it featured 500cc cars competing over a version of the "Indy" circuit (without Druids Hill Bend) in an anti-clockwise direction. During the 1950s the track was extended to include Druids Hill bend, Paddock Hill bend and the racing direction was changed to clockwise. It wasn't until 1960 that the full Grand Prix circuit was created. The British Grand Prix has been held at Brands Hatch on 12 occasions and the European Grand Prix has been held there twice.  The 1967 Grand Prix was won by Jack Brabham and the 1968 race by Jo Siffert driving a Brabham Repco BT19 and a Lotus-Cosworth 49B respectively.  There have also been numerous non-championship Formula 1 races most notably the Race of Champions in 1967 which was won by Dan Gurney in the Eagle-Weslake T1G.

Please check the Season 36 pages for details regarding rules and the 66F1 pages in particular.
Drivers must complete 50% of the race to score points.

Season to forget, strange incident with Andreas .I give space into the curve but his car have a strange shift on the left touching my front.
Another race thrown away.I submit the incident to have an opinion.

Sorry Phil,
when you began to slide i thought you speed through on the outside line and
i tried to get momentum on the inside line.

I lifted when you went inside too but it was too late.

Later, i got caught in an accident between Doni und Billy that took me out.

Sorry Phil,
No problem. Whilst I could keep the faster guys in sight I tried to use them to judge my pace. If I couldn't pull away from you I was going to let you and Evil by when (and if) I'd got a safe gap to Billy. I was trying to get the power down early and I got into a bit of a slide which provided an opportunity for you that you couldn't resist. I wasn't really trying to race you, it was Billy, Francesco and David that were my real opponents. Pity, some good tokens wasted. In hindsight the big Ferrari wasn't a good choice here but I was leading the Junior race until the shunt. Never mind, onto the next race. Bathhurst, plenty of sunshine, Fosters Lager, loud Australians and no Covid-19!

Grats to the podium and all finishers, I tried to go with the leading pack but the pace was more than I could hold on to lol.  Undecided I sort of knew that was going to happen from qualifying.

After losing all my setups when Win 10 crashed and burned last week, I have been struggling to rebuild setups for the various cars. Before it was relatively easy to simply jump on the server for the pre race quali, drag an old reliable setup out of the huge archive that I had and enjoy the race.  Oh! how simple simracing was only last week lol. If only I had saved my setup files somewhere? I might just have a backup from around 2 years ago...if only I can find it!!  Roll Eyes

Now that I don't have a single setup from that old list, for any cars in any of the mods, life is not so straightforward.  I think for the rest of the season I am going to be doing more offline and online practice to try and get some reliable setups built again. Well, I need something to do during the lockdown ??  whistling whistling

In my replay is visible but seem a joke of the game, anyway you had the feeling of the touch. The moral is that i was not able to finish a race with the 66,until now.

Welcome to the Brabham BT11 festival at Brands Hatch!
Congratulations to Podium and all finishers, especially to Tristan who was a class of it‘s own to night. It was my 17 race this year overall (incl. other leagues) and I made only two types of results: first or fifth (our out) – funny, isn‘t it! Wink
This race I had three problems. First of all my physical conditions after a 42 lap race with the GPL-Racers after a now three-week lasting flu – I‘m not forty Wink – so wasn’t in best shape. Second reason is the 246 Ferrari. For sure not my best the choice and last but not least enormous fps fluctuations! Lags down to 15 fps !!!!!! were shocking me again and again! So I‘m happy to finish without any crashing with someone.
THX for close fighting for second place Ziuba, Greg and Frizzo – as long as I was in it was big fun.

Some good & some bad. I had some good racing with Doni & then Andreas. Just managed to keep pace with the midfield drivers. I was on the limit with Doni & Bastian behind when I span. Sorry to Bastian who ran into my spin as this finished his  race. I swapped places with Andrea's when we ran off - I made more mistakes than him. A really tough battle for last place. Please watch out for the forthcoming Joe Shaw races.

Congrats Tristan and Ziu!

I thought this would be a good way to set a new lap time. It was better than I thought. I'm starting to like these little Brabhams.

Ziu and Uli did an excellent job withstanding all that pressure. I doubt I could have done as well. My car was strong from the start to the finish. I don't like driving as close as I did but when I've got somebody behind me I feel I have to do it.

I couldn't ask myself to drive a better race than that. Tristan may not have been able to shake me if I could have got in his slipstream.

Thanks for the fun guys! I appreciate it.

Grats Greg for second place and overall for the difficult and nice overtake on me.
I wronged with fuel, my car was too much heavy and I not could get a good pace.
Anyway it has been a fun race with Uli and Frizzo also, thanks and grats all.

I m very sorry on Clive troubles, could be more nice to have Clive also involved on battles for podium.

Bravo Tristan !
