Ignore my previous complaints, it turns out I just... didn't install the Aston and that was causing my problems
Olo was too fast in the Aston, but I was happy with my lap in the Ferrari, which was good enough for 2nd. Had a decent start this time and both of us pulled away from the rest. I could follow him close in some places, but I was losing a few tenths in the slower corners, so Olo was gradually pulling away.
Then I had the first of my 3 offs in the penultimate corner, the double apex right before the last chicane. I guess I understimated how difficult it is for the car to brake and turn there with so much fuel. That dropped me behind Matt and Fulvio. Overtook Fulvio on the s/f straight the next lap, then closed in on Matt. The second off happened just 2 laps after the first, when Matt lost it in the same spot and I follow suit behind, dropping again down to 4th. Dimitar overtook Fulvio in front of me and I did the same a corner later, then chased down Dimitar for another lap, before passing him for 2nd.
Olo must have had an off or something too, because the gap was suddenly down to around 10 seconds, and then as the fuel went down I was surprised to actually be catching him up. Even recorded the fastest lap (at that time). The gap was just down to about 5 seconds, when Eiffel lost it while I was lapping him and sent me into the air. Fortunately landed straight and continued immediately, but lost 2 seconds. Still managed to close up to within 4 seconds or so before both myself and Olo entered into the pits on lap 21 or 22.
I decided to just fuel up and not change tyres at all, even though my front left was at about 50% resources by then. This allowed me to exit the pits in front of Olo, but once he was out on the track, the gap of 17 seconds started going down very fast. Then I had my 3rd off at the same corner as before, but luckily managed to keep 2 tyres on the tarmac and not lose more than a few seconds. That was crucial though, because I realized there's no chance to keep Olo behind until the end of the race.
Then to my surprise the gap increased by about 8 seconds, then a few laps later, by 10 more. This gave me the opportunity to look after my front left tyre and just nurse the car home. It was still a very close call though! As I crossed the line, the FL tyre was almost gone completely and my fuel gauge was in the red.
