As it says in the title, I'm having a few problems with the skin I'm putting together.

I've got the Alfa_GTA_Windows (Style 1).psd and then edited them to put driver name/simracing banner/logos etc onto it, but when I come to save it as a DDS it says there are too many channels....

Can anyone give me a hint as to what the problem is??  (Other than having too many channels)

Cheers,

Adam.

If you're using photoshop you will have to flatten the image, this option is found in the LAYER tab, this will then allow you to save as a DDS format.

 Grin THANKYOU  Grin

Knew I'd missed something out, and couldn't figure it out (although not for lack of  trying last night).

Finally getting my arse in gear and doing a few sklins, hopefully I'll be bringing a couple of friends of mine onboard to make up something resembling a team too.

I'll look into rendering it and hosting etc so you guys can see what you think.

It would be nice if some skinning genius could do an idiot's guide (for us idiots) to "skinning with Photoshop"

It's for rfactor but the techniques are universal.

As far a photoshopping goes that's one of the better ones, although with a bit of trial and error I got there.  Same with actually getting the car imported as a standalone, got there in the end.

BCP Racing will hopefully be off the ground come GTR2.

Rendering it was too much hassle, but after much saying I would give skinning a go ...... here it is:

Hoping to reso it at some point as there are still bits I'm not that happy with.

....One thing is the name etc on the windows (and the logo itself) are almost invisible, is it a question of chopping the alpha layer behind the relevant bits?

Ya if you want anything on the windows to be opaque you need to edit the alpha layer accordingly.
