Championship standings HERE

Track: Zandvoort 2010 GP Download this This replaces the track in the original download pack. Please use this one. If you have the ABB version please use Notepad and edit the .gdb file to say this //RaceTime = 120 or we will get online miss match messages.

Practice: ~19:20 (60 mins)
Qualifying: 20:20 (20 mins)
Race: 20:40 (28 laps)

Series track download pack: Download this
Series car download pack: Download this
Note: If you downloaded the cars in this event https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=20011.msg366971#msg366971 you already have the cars for this series.

Time of Day Setting: 14:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal
Pit stops: Not required

Server: simracing.org MONDAY
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: None

IMPORTANT

MichaW provided an alternative track layout used at ABB which we will adopt for this race. I have deleted his post's and my replies from this thread as they contained an alternative file download link. Please use the download link in the OP.

If you already have the ABB track please edit the .gdb file to say //RaceTime = 120 or we will get online miss match messages.

The Porsche is great to drive here. Feels much more planted than at that last track.

If anyone is able to contact Olo Ruso could they find out if he is taking part in this race and if he is, what # car he wants.

I did send him a pm but not had a reply.

You must be driving a different Porsche to me then Tony. Tongue

Just the same problem here as at Oschersleben, terminal understeer. Just cannot get the car to turn under power, wants to go straight all the time, feels like you have to wait forever before getting on the throttle to avoid running wide on corner exit. Still hate Porkas, lol.

PS: don't worry about contacting Olo, just change mine to #57, I'm fine with that.

I think I also have a non Wiltshire made pork pie (is that factory still there in Calne "we use everything but the squeek"). I don't suffer the understeer, or more likely I am going so
slow I don't notice it  Roll Eyes Not as challening as oschers, but needs "attention"

You must mean the Harris factory http://www.pig-world.co.uk/news/pig-statue-commemorating-pork-pie-heritage-stolen-from-town.html

Looks like it. The company I worked for had their little factory down a small road sort of opposite the factory
and I would take my students to the Pub just off the roundabout at Beckhampton.
Eh them were the days
