Championship standings HERE

Track: Lausitzring GP

Practice: ~19:20 (60 mins)
Qualifying: 20:20 (20 mins)
Race: 20:40 (24 laps)

Series track download pack: Download this
Series car download pack: Download this
Note: If you downloaded the cars in this event https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=20011.msg366971#msg366971 you already have the cars for this series.

Time of Day Setting: 14:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal
Pit stops: Not required

Server: simracing.org MONDAY
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: Note to Admin, check track race time for daylight setting

If I was a more paranoid individual I might be forgiven for thinking that the GTL gods have something against me  Undecided Undecided

I tried to join the server to check track/car etc this afternoon, only to discover that once again I was denied access to the lobby, "username/password already in use" Huh I had a re-run of last week's pantomime entering my username and passwords and even my alternative identities.......nothing worked for 30 minutes.
So.. I created a(nother) new ID and eventually I found myself in the lobby and got myself onto the track.........................then I began to wonder if it was worth the effort to do battle with those porkers again  scared

So. like I said, if I did not know for sure that the MI5 and the FBI were out to get me, I could be forgiven for being a little paranoid!

That went well. Still see Tony in a mini, despite trying 3 different installs, deleting all the cars from the
2 lots of lists to delete, see everyone fine until Tony joins then "loadding WT" repeat.

Got punted up the rear in T2 0%engine. Game over.

That is rough justice Matt  Sad

I was rather hoping that you would manage to stay in this race Matt, as you appeared to be struggling just as much as I was and we might have kept each other company  Undecided

I'm still way off the pace in these cars but at least I finished my first race in this series  Grats to the fast guys and all who finished at a reasonable pace   Roll Eyes No need to apologise for the nudge Tony, it was never going to change the result.

I am amazed that the cars lapping me were able to take those long 180 deg sweepers fast enough to pull 2 secs on me??!!!  x 2 corners that is 4 secs a lap minimum!!. I tried to match their speed through those corners............absolutely no way my car would even contemplate sticking to the tarmac at those speeds.
The setup was the most stable I have nailed together thus far, but maybe too safe? lol

Thanks to Dan for waiting and playing with my ineptitude  Wink

Really sorry, Matt, that was me. There were a few taps in the first few corners, but you seemed to hit a big immovable block at the edge of the track and stopped dead instead of skating across the gravel with some friends. I see you took a slow start to avoid potential T1 trouble, then you're out at T2. Sorry again.

Fast times at the front, going under 2 minutes is awesome. Grats to the podium stars.

Me too. though it was the tap from behind that sent me off, bashing sideways into Tony in the gravel, and then getting in Fulvio's way
finished the poor car off. The slow start was not caution, it was because I had pushed 1st up to be closer to 2nd

Thank you guys for a nice, fair race. Not really one of my favorite tracks, but a 911 is worth every sin. Perfect race, only one problem, the two in front of me...but from Manfred I know this from many years of Porsche Cup racing at the Altbierbude.

Not the best racing night for me. I was closer to the best times here than in Zandvoort, but something was not right with my car. I just couldn't feel the car right and therefor i was driving a little bit more careful.

Even with that approach i managed to do 4 slips and finished 5th which is nice because i was in a two time DNF march to the bottom...

I had a nice little fight and chase with Geoffers for a while but he was clearly faster and was disappearing from me slowly but surely. After that i had a lonely race hoping that the championship and my agony with the car will finish soon. Sad  ban oops

 Cool

Probably will be back tomorrow for filling up the grid as my mother is back home.
Fortunately not as bad as the doctors predicted.
