Race: 20:40 (32 laps)

Series track download pack: Download this
Series car download pack: Download this
Note: If you downloaded the cars in this event https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=20011.msg366971#msg366971 you already have the cars for this series.

Time of Day Setting: 14:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal
Pit stops: Not required

Server: simracing.org MONDAY
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: None.

Hate these cars, always have. Can't get them round corners without losing the back, or understeering like an oil tanker.
Thank the stars that was the last event of the series.

I would like to say thank you for this Porsche Cup and I would be happy about a repeat. About the race today, I was really surprised about my speed, I don't like NGP at all and this short version, where the best part is missing, not at all. 31 laps I could leave Manfred behind me and made only minimal mistakes. But in the last lap in turn 5 I ran up to 2 drivers to be lapped and just prayed that they would see me and not brake too early because Manfred was close behind me. And as it is like that, I lost focus for a short time, stood crosswise and lost all speed. And there Manfred would have overtaken me if he would have pulled through. In retrospect I already have a bad conscience, because if I had only been second, the final standings would have been completely different. Maybe it can be corrected afterwards?

Many greetings and good luck!

I've started the last round of the championship with the hope that we can take the Constructors title where we were 5 points down to the leaders. I knew it is going to be tough and that i will be slower than the top guns but had some hope that with consistency i can take something from Nurburgring.

At the qualy i was able to break my PB with 1 tent but that was enough for just P6 as the guys in front of me were so fast, especially the Germans Smiley

At the start Hristo made great launch but i was able to take the inside for T1 and went in P3 but Manfred hit me, as he lost his car on acceleration after T1. At T2 i had another contact. This time Daz hit me and as a result i hit Hristo. Fortunately for me i was able to keep the car from slip because of Hristo's car.

After that we had great battle with Coyote and Dan. And after i take the 3rd position i didn't lose it 'til the end.

As the faster drivers were making mistakes it was easy for me to take the podium here. I am delighted with my driving, as no big mistakes were made. I had just few little ones as in the last corner i was close hitting the edge of the barrier but was able to avoid something more dangerous.

Congrats to Micha for the win and the great pace. Congrats to Manfred for the podium and the title. Smiley Congrats to Coyote and Eif for the Constructors title. Smiley

I would like to apologize to Dimitar for contacting T1. I became T1 from behind when braking
triggered and had to drive the curve far and came to the curbs. Unfortunately, when I accelerated, I easily lost the tail and crashed into you.

I thank you very much for this series. It was a lot of fun and I hope to repeat it.

Best wishes
Manfred

A series completely to forget for me  Tongue
Wasn't aware that the car for me is so difficult to handle.

Will always remember and adore the one and only and legendary Edgar Doeren who won the
24 hrs race at the Nuerburgring in 1988 in a private entered and over 10 years old Carrera RSR against
all the factory teams and drove the car many years at the Nordschleife mostly one-handed, waving with
the other hand to the spectators  Grin
Unfortunetly he died far too early on cancer on 1st April 2004.

On starting the qualification I lost my FFB and had to restart my equipment (first time this happened)
and in race at the end of lap two I missed the last corner and turned into pits instead  Huh Tongue Roll Eyes.
So I quit.

Thanks for organizing & grats to the winners (another win for GTLDK - I didn't contribute much)

CU on track

My races these days all seem very hard fought, and for not very remarkable results.  Maybe time to take up knitting instead, like Dan suggested last night..

New pb in qual only gave me 7th on the grid.  Got a very good start, gaining several places, and hopefully traumatizing Dan a little in the process  Grin   With the added kerfuffle through the first corners, I found myself in an unsustainable 3rd place.  Dimitar soon got past, moving away.  Later Daz caught up and went past, only to spin and drop behind again.  Most of the race then was a hard fight with a faster Geoffers, who had several passing attempts before seemingly making it stick.  After being ahead for several laps, he spun in the final part of the race however, returning a not quite deserved 4th to me.

Grats to Micha for the win & 2nd in the Championship, to Manfred for 2nd and a dominant win of the series, and to Dimitar for filling the podium.  Commiserations to those with problems.

Firstly congrats to Micha, Manfred & Dimitar on the podium.  clap clap clap

Congrats also to Manfred on a dominant series victory.  clap I Am Not Worthy

As has been normal for me in these cars I made too many mistakes & totally lost what little talent I possess in the last 15 mins of this race, concentration went completely  Roll Eyes. Ironic that my best race in these cars was at what was arguably the most difficult track  Huh. Cannot say I am sorry this series has finished, never have got on with this car.
