Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 697s

BigG locks a wheel into Stowe and is past by Andy and Pedro. Going into Vale corner, BigG drifts into Pedro under braking and he is pushed into Andy; the latter two both spin.

Pedro gets away ahead of Andy, effectively passing him, but behind BigG. It's hard to accuse Pedro of being unsportsmanlike when he was behind the culprit of the original incident.

BigG then passed the pit entrance three times, holding Pedro up for a lap and a half before spinning in Brooklands (repay rtime 1102s) right in from of Pedro, who also spun. BigG again sets off ahead, passing the pit exit and doing another full lap before pulling into the pits for a self-imposed drive through, losing additional places to Jan Duijs and Jamera in the process.

Now, whilst, self-imposed penalties are to be applauded, BigG took this one was a lap late against the rule of thumb (3 laps), and only taken after causing more trouble for the driver he hit. Since the drive through cost him two places anyway, I'm reducing the penalty to 0 places; he is very lucky to avoid points on his license because both Andy and Pedro did not want him penalised further.

  • BigG ([RSms]BigG)penalty — contact with Pedro — 0 places lost
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Adam Parle tries to be cute by spinning backwards over the line as the race finishes and nearly collects Pedro, who is almost a full lap ahead, in the process.

Adam has clearly indicated that he realises how dangerous his actions were and I am therefore only going to caution him.

I'll try and find some time to try out the car pack today. I havn't even installed it yet.

In the first post you said to notice the new GTR 1.4 Compatibility Patch. What is this? We always used official patch 1.4.

The Elise skinpack was made for patch 1.5. This caused the race to end after 5 minutes. The fix is to make the skinpack compatible with the 1.4 GTR patch, the one we use.
So the fix is a must have.

And this patch is to go into the GTR game data file?
Will it make any difference if i update to version 1.5 (for general online events) and then revert back to 1.4 for SROU events, with this patch installed?

Thanks guys Cool

And this patch is to go into the GTR game data file?

From the attached readme:

"This new version of the SIM_LEC1_25min.gdb corrects a problem with time scaling in the
existing file.  Copy this new version to your GTR/GameData folder, overwriting the existing file."

So correct.

I'm not sure whether I'll compete this evening.

1) I'm not really fond of this track.

2) It's my first day back in school and I'm a little tired.

3) It's sunny outside.

I may compete if  feel up to it in 90mins but don't count on it.

I got some problem after the first lap with this track, and the frame rate would go no higher than 11fps. It was like playing Super Monaco GP on the Megadrive all over again.
Hope you all enjoyed better than i did.

For f**k sake. Angry

Again a great race ruined by my (........................) router.
I had a PB at qually which gave me pole: 1:56.5xx.

Race was great again battling with Jon. He was a bit faster so I had a hard time keeping infront. After a while he eovertook me and I was slowly losing him.
At some point somebody spun and I was like, oh shit, smoke. But then Jon also spun, and I had to go grannystyle through that corner not to end up in a threesome Wink.
One lap later, I spun in the same corner and Jon overtook me again. But we swapped places again in the same lap cause Jon was so kind to mow the lawn Cheesy.

But then, with 10 minutes to go, I had a great disco. I knew I would get disco'ed when i do a pitstop, but not just during the race. This router is going to pieces, big time.

Unlucky Ruskus, kick that turd into touch Sad
Did another double downshift Sad I think that's about 3 races in a row now...Lucky for me It didn't change my result because of Ruskus's disco. Apart from that it was great racing against Ruskus, these Elise's are excellent for close racing. I love 'em.
Grats to matjaz on another immaculate drive Cool

Third place - I must say it feels good! Smiley

Eventfull race to me. Qualified fourth just like last week. I was quite pleased with the result but the very idea of chasing Matjaz who qualified third seemed quite funny Cheesy

Of course there was no need to worry. I blew up my start and lost 2 places to BigG and Andy! - great start both of you guys! I quickly decided not to push for a few laps, warm the tires and burn some fuel. The strategy turned to be ok as I quickly got fourth (not without a small spin) and then third after Ruskus router failed. Rest of the race was just conserving my engine and tires.

This was looking to be a closer race for me starting form 3rd. I guess no driving for a whole week left some consequences.  Undecided I had a great start while two lads in front had some wheelspin so I managed to take the lead coming into the first corner and from then on I just went and never looked back. Smiley Again I couldn't do without my usual scary moment when I ran a bit on to the grass after T1 and car decided to wiggle a bit and nearly spun on me but I somehow managed to get it under control. My lead was increasing lap by lap and when guys behind me started to spin there was no need for me to push 100% so I decided to take it easy for the last couple of laps and that was it. I noticed guys started to chat when some drivers still didn't finish the race so be carefull next time not to chat until you see everyone has a result and have finished the race. Thanks for great fair racing and see you next time!

Something of a mixed bag for me in this one.  Set a PB in qualifying, only to completely cock up the first corner.  Made up time and then span again .... and that set the pattern for the race, a few good laps, a silly mistake and my last lap was awful.
