Championship Standings

Example Setups:

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see
cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the
rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the Euro and American Track Packs for this series (And maybe another
non pack track occasionally)
(4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit.

(5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

After the britisch Brands this is my home race. I live 10 kilometers in direct line away from the track, when the wind comes from south and there is a track day, I can hear the cars form my home. The track is fantastic and the "Mausefalle" (mouse trap) is really scary. My boss has a BMW E36 as a race car and I joined him for a handful laps (as a copilot). It was a great experience.

Cool  Grin Oulton Park is my nearest "Proper" race track.
This is the only map I could find with the corner names on:

Very nice, thanks. When you are between T8 and T9 you see a hill at the horizon. At the other side of that hill I am living ;-)

I have only done half a dozen laps Bill & found the default setup pretty good, so have not changed it so far.

There was talk on the forums yesterday about a problem with F Junior rear toe and damper settings leading to the rear end being too unstable, and a fix coming very soon. Current update only mentions changes to default FJ setup, but maybe it has tamed the rear end a bit. I'll also be interested to try the new Group 5 physics..

Thanks Geoff I found the default setup had too much under steer so with your excellent setup “crib sheet” I’ve improved it for me! But I’m too slow - not put many laps in and this morning there were the updates. Plan to put in a few laps tomorrow morning before I cut the lawn, hopefully at least relearn the track before race. As Geoff said elsewhere following other drivers you learn a faster line!  Roll Eyes

Well that was a) Fun b) Disastrous c) Educational  laugh

First 5 or 10 minutes I was going OK, then the tires started going off and my already understeery car became practically un-driveable. Going through the mouse-trap I realise now I was steering too much into the corner so I was basically attempting to 'snow-plow' my way through the corner. By the 20 minute mark my front-right was flashing red and I had just tipped the thing on it's roof so I pitted for fresh tires.

Many lessons learned, thanks for the race.

Not that I would have been troubling the leaders, but although we've raced here before, it was a while ago
and I was still learning the track when I ... er.. ran out of petrol  Roll Eyes

Big welcome to Alix and Glen, I hope you will race with us some more, and bring some friends if you can thumbup1

Next week it's touring classics at Dubai, should be a good event  Grin

Oh, if Glen and Alix put their nationality in their profile, they should get a flag next to their names in the results  Cool

bit of a disaster for me. I have done a race at this track before but it was ages ago so I spent most of practice and qually relearning the circuit. Then about three corners in to the race I hit the barriers and it killed the engine, so early bath for me Sad
