VERY IMPORTANT UPDATE!

A fix for the pitlane can be found here:
https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/sportsland-sugo-1-0-pitlane-fix.22890/

It won't over-write anything and fixes the track both online and offline Smiley

Amazingly it doesn't cause a server mismatch either!

well found on the fix.

Track looks more fun (and suited) to one of these https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lwDij72_GNo

well that was yet another race ruined by hardware failure  Angry

had a fairly decent race but just didn't like this combination. Was running 4th for about 20mins but then got a little too wide on one of the off camber rights and Stefan and Fabri scarpered past  Cry  kept chasing them but they both had a decent gap and Stefan was getting quicker as the race went on. Made my stop okay but stayed 6th. Ran like that until 15misn to go then my b*stard rift switched off again right in the centre of the fast sweeping last corner  taz  Race over.
But I think I have sussed what it is now, Im starting the session in daylight in room then as the race progresses its getting dark and the rift must be losing its tracking, as my room is quite dark now (9.20pm). Same must have happened in my SRO race two weeks ago and last week. Not had the issue until recently as must have had lights on in room and the Rift S relies on decent lighting for the tracking sensors.  Roll Eyes

hey ho...  Sad

Unlucky MJ..

Another good race, but this time with a decent start. Grin  I briefly lost track of Tim entering T1, so decided to take the safer option of running slightly wide to give him room on the inside.  I wasn't trying to gain time honest.  angel

Once in front I managed to pull out a small gap, but promptly threw it away 2 laps later at the final turn.  Every lap I was flirting with disaster there; the faster I went, the closer I got to the mud on the outside.  One wheel off the track and the back end stepped out.  Shocked  Luckily I was able to keep the car pointing in the right direction and avoid collecting Tim.   Sorry for the scare.   whistling

The chase was on!!!  Lap after lap the gap became smaller.  Tim was at his drift-tastic best, especially through the last corner where he spent most of his time steering left.  It makes me chuckle how you can go so fast, so sideways, in a cloud of tyre smoke.  lol

Passing at this track was always going to be difficult without Tim making a mistake.  So when he braked slightly earlier than I was expecting for T1, I took the opportunity to dive to his inside to claim the apex.  It worked..  Clinging to the inside I was able to gain back the lead before the next left hander.

Tim took an early pit stop, trying to get the undercut.  I was determined that wouldn't be the case, so set about trying to lap consistently in the low 1:44s.   I managed this a few times, which meant a 2 second gap after my pit stop.  By taking a safer line through the final corner, I was able to slowly pull away to take the chequered flag.

Good race Tim..  Still all to play for in the Drivers Championship.

Congrats to Adam for gaining the last place on the podium, and to Gary for finishing 6th.

See you all at Goodwood...

Well done Darren and Tim, great pace up front.

For me - I don't know I've ever had a more boring race.  The two escorts disappeared down road, and I built the gap to 4th ... spent the race basically driving round by myself.

When you started pinging very low 45's in it did get my attention - but then you seemed to lose 8+ seconds at the stop?  What happened?

Not a great race for me. The start was good but I was blocked in the traffic and I didn't manage to get anything. At the beginning of the race my throttle pedal locked open at Rainbow and I was out restarting last. I also completely did a shitty stop.
In the way I managed to get few places having good fun battling with Syd and Tudor.
Especially with Tudor I tried all race to put him under pressure, only one lap I was close to trying an overtake in turn 1. But I locked and ended up hitting him a bit (sry mate hope your car wasn't damaged after that), I regave the position to him and start all again the battle.
The track was good fun but probably not the best from an overtaking prospective.
I'm looking forward to the last event next week!

I'd be suprised that room lighting messes the Rift up. Unless they've change the tracking technique from CV to S as the original used IR.

Sad My rift packed up on the sound yesterday so started race with rift and head phones. Result was  not good got way too hot and gave up feeling very sick.  Not too unhappy had it over 4 years with no probs.  Looking at getting some lightweight wireless headphones today to see if that makes it better.  Also a fan my pc room is small and was like a sauna last night!

Yes a nice battle and no problem with the tap, easy to lock up in those downhill braking areas.

Must admit Escort was horrible for me here, I tried several approaches to setup but all yielded same results for me....a car that was more suited to a forest rally stage than a race track. Eventually settled on default with only increased tyre pressures and brake balance moved back. Also I struggled to get tyres back up to pressure after pitstop which didn't help, something I also noticed last week at Lucca  Huh

Looking forward to Goodwood next week  Smiley

After some decent pace in practice qually didn't go well for me, including hitting an Alfa with a green rear panel, sorry for this my fault entirely. In the race things were going ok until a spin between the two right handers that precede the long back straight. Unfortunately I had to sit still until everyone came past, it was then a case of buckling down and had a bit of fun picking off places to work up to 6th.

Congrats to podium.

Race that has as usual made me fight with Stefan, and as usual I lost.  Grin
I missed the consistency and I made a couple of excursions on the grass.

As said after the race, I will most likely not be in Goodwood because I am away for work. There is a small chance that I will be able to get home just in time, so I will prepare the race as usual.

Congrats to podium!
