Round 9 of the Privateers 67 Trophy will take place in Spain at the Circuito del Jarama in Madrid. Jarama was built in 1967 & has hosted nine Formula One Spanish Grand Prix.  It  has one proper straight and most of the course consists of tight, twisty corners so overtaking was extremely difficult.

Congrats Raoni and Roberto! It's a shame Jonny had computer problems. Sad

I was lucky. I don't know what happened to Keni. He could have beat me with a Cooper. Smiley I don't think Tristan is driving as good as he often does. I hope you're alright. And I got lucky, I didn't need to drive faster than 1:28.5. Neither I nor my car's setup was good for consistently running in the 1:27s.

I had doubts I could finish this one. I thought I might wreck the Lotus, easily destroy the DFV, and my knee is aching.

You really have to be good sliding the car into and through the turns. I do that best in the Ferrari. Two fast laps in the Lotus overheated the left rear tire every time. It takes a lot of finesse to run a fast lap here.

I never expected to win. I just hoped to survive and learn to drive the Lotus a little better.

Thanks for the fun guys.

I had an early puncture and had to retire the car.

It was more of a frustration, until I was happy with the qualy even with fps problems. But in the race it was impossible, after lap1 I entered the pits so that all the rest of the riders could pass me. I returned after the last one at about 350 m to have a free and reasonable fps track. but after a few laps i arrived in the class and the problems came back ....... i entered the pits again, it was the only decent thing i could do.

Congratulations to the podium, I am happy to see Greg Taber go to the last race with chances of being champion, it will be a great duel, 3 riders in the last race intending on the crown !!!!
