Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 0h01m48s

Tristan made a reset and continued the race which is not allowed for Senior driver.

Server replay time: 0h03m48s

Contact between Andreas and Bastian cars.

At the approach of the turn, Bastian leaves the door wide open and Andreas takes the chance,
he is in front and has a clean inside when Bastian goes late to the inside as if Andreas is not there!
Andreas did nothing wrong

Simple Side by Side contact: Penalty 1 Place

In a corner, after a legitimate overtaking attempt the cars end up side by side. One driver moves over instead of staying on their own side of the track. Contact is made. Penalty for driver that moves over.

Server replay time: 0h06m26s

Contact between Fulvio and Francesco cars.

Fulvio tries a risky pass but Francesco clearly has his nose early to the inside - Francesco should be aware of Fulvio : until the contact Francesco could see Fulvio's car in his mirrors.

Season 36 - 69x Trophy – Round 9 -Grenzlandring

Grenzlandring

The ninth race in the 1969x Grand Prix series sees us at Grenzlandring, a track around the town of Wegberg in Germany.  The first race was held on 19th September 1948 in front of about 250,000 spectators. It was organised by silk weaving mill owner and keen racing driver Emil "Teddy" Vorster (Rheydt) and his Rheydter Club für Motorsport (RCM). From 1949 onwards, the organisation was in the hands of the Motorsport-Union-Grenzlandring, a co-operation of four motorsport clubs of the Lower Rhine region. The all-time lap record was set in September 1949 by Bavarian Georg "Schorsch" Meier on a supercharged BMW 500 motorbike at 216 km/h (134 mph) (clockwise driven) and in September 1951 Toni Ulmen set the all-time record for cars, driving his Veritas 2000 RS to 212 km/h (132 mph) (anti-clockwise). No doubt genuine Grand Prix cars would have been a lot quicker. Racing came to an end after 31 August 1952, when Helmut Niedermayr from Berlin crashed his Formula Two Reif/Veritas-Meteor at the exit of the Roermonder Kurve at nearly 200 km/h (120 mph) killing at least 13 spectators.

Arrrrggghh, that was a great race until I looked up at Pribluda to see Billy dropping back and consequently I put a wheel on the white line and I was out!!! (I'd already used up my shift-R when I got caught up in the aftermath of a shunt between Fulvio and Francesco).

I noticed Dave R had blown his engine and was coasting round hoping to pick up some points. The championship is tight, I hope this doesn't settle it  Cry

Yes, I couldn't see you on this corner, driving at 300 kph I could not avoid your car.

Then I made a stop and go but a few meters after the pits, I blew my engine but I could continue at low speed, finishing 8 laps after Axel.

I was lucky to escape to the accident between Phil, Fulvio and Francesco but then the luck vanished.

Unlucky David, but this has made the championship very tight. If you win the last round you will win the championship by 1 point. I can only improve my score by winning, finishing second is no good for me. So it is winner takes all at the ring!

Great result Francesco, you smoked me tonight. I couldn't get past your M9 no matter how hard I tried. Looks like your shifter is working better?

Only if the winner is you or me !  We saw tonight nothing is sure.

But, yes this championship is very tight and nice.

Sorry Francesco, I went for inside at last turn at same time as you, my bad. That was the only place I could pass you, but then you could pass me easily on the straight. Sorry Phil too. I was very lucky to continue without damage.
Tris you can't reset in these races and then risk to ruin other race for nothing, it isn't the first time  Wink

Grats to the podium and finishers.

I was quite happy about this race, as regards my sore left shoulder, because all the bends are left handers the pressure is on my right arm  Wink So, I was looking forward to a good race after putting together a decent setup during practice.
As usual, I did all my qualifying on race fuel and knew that this was a race where being in front only counts at the chequered flag.

All of that was good as the race started, and I was quite content to be running in 5th place but still with the leading group on lap 1. But quickly I discovered that the car that I was driving was not the car I had practised with  Undecided Sure enough when we reached T1 at full race speed on lap 2 everything unravelled and I ploughed off with terminal understeer  Sad
Yup!!! I had loaded the Default setup for the race !!!  cursing cursing cursing cursing

I managed to catch a tow from one of those flying McLarens in qually to boost my grid position. Although it's rather rutal the track is basically a big oval but very narrow. Very easy to make a mistake & I was in 2nd spot for a short while. Mid race  I latched onto the back of Tristans BRM for several laps until he pitted. About lap 20 my screen starting flickering  badly. It was possible to continue but I ran wide in the same place on 3 separate occasions.  Amazingly the car survived every scare & I finished 4th.

short race here, my mistake, got on the grass outside when I gave Axel too much room at the end of lap two – what a pity
