Bad night In practice I get 1 frame then in Qual the same and I had to come out the game, but when I get back no time left I was so happy to be the last in the grid that I did a spin in the start just to celebrate Then I realize that my pace was 3 sec. slower and I look to the fuel and I saw more 20lit, I end the race with fuel for 12 more laps Be side that it was a nice race Cheers, Rui

I always did well at this track so tonight it was mistakeless race from me and that usually does it for a good result here. Jon was very fast in qualifying so I had to settle for second with Ruskus close behind me. Another great start from me gave me the lead coming into the first corner. I knew this will be tough for Jon driving in my slipstream through those chicanes and it was in the 2nd chicane that he did a small mistake going wide and clipping the wall. I saw it in my rear mirror so I gained some breathing space. Ruskus took second and was going with a nice pace and closing a bit but as usual I'm like a diesel engine so I needed a few laps to find my rhythm. From then on I tried to be smooth but not 100% flat out through those chicanes so my times were about half to one second slower then in my practice run. I had a bit of a problem with my pit guy... he was showing me some confusing gaps to the 2nd position driver. One lap it was 4 seconds then 9 and 16 and then 9 again so I really had no idea what was my advantage. So I just focused on surviving and tried to be very carefull overtaking the backmarkers. They were very good to me, watching the mirrors. Still there were a couple of spins right in front of me but I was expecting them and kept my focus not to do anything stupid like spinning. At the end my advantage was only 6 seconds so my pitboard was completely wrong. I'll have a word with my pit guy so it doesn't happen again. Great and scary race as usual... I think I need a shower after that because I'm claustrophobic you know and Enna is a bit of a nightmare for me although I always do well here. See you in Estoril and I hope for a fantastic final race.

Sturdy little car, eh? Bumped it four times, once in 1 st chicane, but all I got was "some aerial damage", not even a puncture. I'm pleased to say my foot is healing well and it got a bit uncomfortable towards last quarter of the race, better than I expected. Hate Enna, love Estoril. I wonder if I can make it any better there. Grats to the fastest guys. I was 4 sec behind in quali ! Not even in season 1 did this happen to me, I think. Ok, maybe in season 3 when CJ was driving. TT P.S. Sorry to the driver who I blocked rejoining. Was it you, Dan? I'm not sure. Sorry again.

1st, well done to the top 3. 2nd, well done TT for hanging in there whilst carring a injury. and 3rd my race:
Happy with my 6th on the grid for the race, Never really liked this track in the 996, but after practice the other night found the car suited my driving well.
Got a great start and moved upto 4th behind Jeff by T1 and was happy with the pace, Jeff and the others where pulling away already, so I started to think about wot was happening behind me. Then at the last fast chicane I ran wide into the kitty litter and ended up driving for 150 mtrs before being able to rejoin the track this dropped me back to P8, but the car was not damaged.
Then people started doing werid thing and spinning off in front of me, 1st Dan M spun off, followed by Pablo, then Maurice ran wide at the same place I did and I was back in 5th.
Pablo soon recovered and started to harras my arse, but he made a mistake and the pressure was off. Greg was running a good 4th place just down the road. I was catching very slowly when understeered off at the 1st corner.
By this point i started to run into some tire issues (Understeer). Not to much off a problem I thought with now Mark Jonzo some 10-15 secs behind. Well I was wrong there. I started to make silly mistakes as I had to adjust to less grip on the front. As Mark caught me I was coming upto *** to lap him as we started another lap.
I was not really in a position to overtake in T1, Then also had to stay behind in T2 and T3 as there was no real straight between them. Then coming out of T3 I got a bad exit and *** pulled away. This then allowed Mark to get a run on me and that allowed him to get bye on my left as we all headed towards the fast right/left chicane. I had lost the corner to Mark and so pulled in behind him. We where both now very close to *** and I think we put *** in a position he could not get out off. He could not move over to the left anymore and I beleive he also though he could not have moved right as I was over there. He then went through the chicane and hit the 2nd barrier on the left. Mark then hit the 1st barrier and I then hit him. Damaged but still able to get running again. So I then drove home for 4th place, my best ever, well for a long time.
Good racing all round, thanks to the back markers for allowing me through, felt strange lapping people for the 1st time.

I am surprised you do not feel you were being blocked BigG ? [...edited by the editor... ] Its reported to the mods anyhow. Congrats to the podium guys, its a tough old track just to get through in one piece, especially trying to follow peeps blind through the chicane walls

Well that was certainly and eventful race!.....except for me.... Just hadn't got the pace and my setup stunk like gravy! No top-end speed, not enough fast rebound, diff was completely wrong.....the list goes on.. Wouldn't mind but I had a great start getting a few places before the first corner. After that though, Captain Slow took over, felt like I was driving a Peugeot to everyone elses Veyron! Hope I didn't prove difficult to lap to anyone - BigG, congrats on all the lapping you got in there, had to check your placing twice when I looked in the mirror the first time!

No need to star out the names if you're just reporting the facts in an objective and nonjudgemental way.

It's a community of gentlemen racers and not a school playground. There are certain well established rules of conduct and if there's any feeling of collars to be done, the moderators will do it and not the mob.

Yes Mark we where blocked, but I think it was more the case of where we were on track when we caught Dan. Then due to my problems getting out of T3 allowed him to pull away. Then when we caught him again, our positioning did not allow him any choice to move over. I know you can argue he should have really slowed down to allow us past, but that racing as far as I am concerned. Sorry you feel so pissed.

It's a community of gentlemen racers and not a school playground. Exactly, and i considered last nights driving by 'he who shall not be named' as un-gentlemanly and un-sporting, more so against the guy in front of me than to me personally. But BigG is obviously a lot more laid back than i am and therefore not as flustered It ended my race right at race end, i am not going to be happy about it, as the circumstances that created it shouldnt have happened Me and Big G should have been allowed to continue our duel un-hindered.....blue flags anybody? I enjoy reading all the post race 'posts', for good or bad experiences and dont see why its beneficial to sterilise them, taking all the passion that is motor sport out of the posts. Mods should step in if it becomes a slanging match but people should still be allowed to air their thoughts for better or worse, and from previous pm's i've had from fellow drivers, i know i am not alone in this thought.
