All members welcome.

Please make sure you have skin pack 1.2, as per note 4 below

Practice: 20:15 (15 mins)
Qualifying: 20:30 (20 mins)
Race: 20:50 (16 laps = ~40 mins)
Track: Nurburgring GP
Cars allowed: TVR Griffith 400 (rating - 13.6), Lotus Elan (rating - 13.1), Chevrolet Corvette '65 (rating - 13.0), Shelby Daytona Coupé (rating - 13.0)
Time of Day Setting: 14:00

Server: UKGTL Ladder; in the event that the lobby is unavailable, connect using Direct IP, entering games.avonrise.co.uk in the Add IP box
Password: See this post

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules. Note in particular that we will be using the new pit lane speed limiter starting procedure.
(3) General information on the ladder can be found on the series home page.
(4) The season will be run using a UKGTL carpack v1.2 which will need to be installed prior to racing.

Hope this race will be good, because I have an awesome song and musicvideo to use. If all goes well, this video will be "disturbed" Cool.

I have tried the Elan here, but I must say I don't like cars with front-wheel drive and rear-wheel steering so much.

Here is a little video of my tests: http://www.severe-chaos.de/files/Elan_front-wheel_drive_-_rear-wheel_steering.wmv (63 MB)

Interesting technique.  Cheesy

How did you get more than one reverse gear?

Edit: never realised you could change the reverse gear ratio in the garage. Just got a Corvette to do 120MPH backwards.  Cheesy

Think I'm going to try the Elan. I've been having a lot of fun practicing with it.

Taking the Corvette was a mistake. I was struggling to stop it from swapping ends into T1 so decided to quit.

Good race guys. Span on the warm up lap for second week in a row Sad but it makes the race more fun, at least in the beginning.

Not going to be racing for about 2-3 weeks as I'm off into hospital Undecided

Grats to poduim.

GTC-65s still have my vote as the most fun to drive class.

Had a good battle with the top Elan runners for the first few laps and with Johnny Dee closing in in the Daytona I was hoping us Elans would stop fighting with each other as we were just slowing each other up. Got a bit lonely in the middle as i could not keep pace with the Elans ahead of me once they spread out.

Then very slowly LeH caught me up after his spin in the first half of the race. Had a good battle for a few laps near the end. Good racing LeH. After you made a big mistake into T1 on the last lap I thought I had you. I only just got through on T1 as I foolishly put it in 1st to get more acceleration and got the most almight tank slapper  tank Hit with a wet fish. No idea how I held that. Then coming down to the hairpin with you right behind I just couldn't hold it and span round. Not sure what the outcome would have been if that hadn't happened as you were slower down the straight somehow and only faster in one of the left handers and probably the stupid chicane near the end.

Anyway, not a bad result. I don't have time to practice GTL so it's dive straight in any week i race. Nurb is quite a good track I think, loads of width to the track like Brno really helps keep the racing safer.

Well done teamie on the win btw!!  Grin
