Wont make the fun race tonight not a fan of these cars.

Just spotted this Bob - it's not a fun race, it's the start of next/this season!

I'll give it one more round.  If driving standards don't improve, I'm out.

Adam (and anyone else for that matter).
Please report any incidents or instances of dodgy driving via the incident report button under the relevant race.

If it isn't reported, I don't see it. If I don't see it, I don't moderate it, and whoever has done something stupid won't have any reason to improve (assuming it wasn't a legit mistake - I saw more of those tonight than I've seen in the last 6 months!)

If you don't have a replay to hand then please shout, either myself or someone else can share their own for you to work from (Preferably someone else as I'd have to take the car pack down to host a race replay most likely).

Very frantic and close racing for me. Lucked out in race one after constantly messing up my qualifying laps - 1st clear lap once in the lead of the race and I managed a time that was good for 2nd on the grid Roll Eyes
All of that was down to the misfortunes of others though.

Race 2 initially started well I thought, although I've yet to see why a RAF was stranded pointing the wrong way exiting T1.
From there on up I had a monumental battle up through the pack until I caught Max and Barone, Which turned into an epic 3 way fight as we all continuously fell over each other.
Then once Max and I had finally got free he lost the back end and half span trapping me behind while Barone and a very opportunistic Syd then re-passed me. Not that much later and a perfectly innocent looking mistake in front caused Syd to spin off and collect me after a glancing contact with Max.
My front end was trashed after that, leaving me with no hope of regaining the front of the field.

I have no idea what happened to cause it yet - but both lead groups then had incidents that allowed myself and Darren to re-pass up into the top 5.
Just after I was passed by Kai again a Melkus just up the road lost the back end and span off - missing me but collecting Kai.
I forget how I passed Darren now but I ended up in a totally surprising 3rd.

Well I think I owe Kai an apology for race 1,  I sure didn't mean to bang wheels like that and send you off,  so sorry for that  Sad

Race 2, Adam I'm sorry for the touch, it wasn't intentional and I moved to the inside as you came back off the grass hoping to avoid any further accident, but then the next turn I was still partly (and it was just partly) next to you but you just turned in like I wasn't there, killing yourself...  I waited thinking it my fault for the initial contact but you just ESC to the pits so that was a waste of time  Undecided

Both races I had heavy damage and no pace at the end, weirdly both times from the embedded tyres at T11...

A decent race 1 with no major slips but a big off in race 2 then had to wait for the field to pass before rejoining last. Made a place up when Pete spun off but then discoed a couple of laps later  Roll Eyes First disco I've had in AC so no idea what caused that  Huh

Most of the incidents I witnessed seemed to be just your typical open wheeler type things with drivers getting a bit out of shape mid corner and tangling wheels, or spinning off on their own.....erm like I did.

Hope the weather cools down a bit for next week, it feels a bit strange racing in my underpants  sweatdrop

I think you need to do some background setting up Tim, as these races count as non-championship Smiley

My race 1 was a real disaster, because of me. Certainly my fps and lag problems didn't help, but in any case I drove badly. I spun during first corners, then, at half race, I lost the control of my car and I crashed into my teammate Barone, a disaster!  Roll Eyes
I finished the race in photofinish with Stephen.

Race 2 was better. I started well and I was second at first corner. Some laps later, Lorenzo and Adam passed me, after a my small mistake in the fast section. I remained in fourth position waiting for some mistakes of those ahead. In fact, shortly after there was contact between the top three and I could except advantage and the lead.
I was followed for few laps by Adam and Max, but a incident between them further benefited me, leaving me alone on the lead with a great gap. From that point I only had to manage the first position.

Nervous circuit as well as some maneuvers on the track.

I hope that the next track is easier.  Smiley

I was stuck in the traffic coming home. So no practice. But I managed to arrived in time for the quali.

Race 1 start was quite good. I got some positions, then on turn one me and the orang car (I think it was Mark?) collided. I was on the inside and I have the feeling Mark also was squeezed from other cars. I tried to use all the cautions but we touched. I don't have the replay of race 1 so I can't review that. If it was my fault, sorry for that.
After the contact I found my self behind the middle pack. After few laps I was back in the game but there was an unlucky incident. Fabri locked up at turn 1 spinning outside the track and then on it again. I was hit and the car was damaged on the aero since I had bad understeer and instability after. The rest of the race was cruising last and try to survive.
Don't worry mate it happens. Smiley

Race two was far better. I kept the P1 for few laps then Fabri and the others came in. I had some great fun battling with Tim and Max. I tried to hold as far as I could but in the end I was overtaken by Max. After that the disaster... In one lap I think I was hit on rear inner wheel two times that brought the cars to spin. Then after that lap two guys collided in front of me when I was exiting the crest on the main straight. No chance to avoid that car wall. What a pity the race was getting good and fun.

P.s. surely there was some brutal massacre yesterday on track, but I have to say (now that. I have put some hours into the game) that AC damage/bump model doesn't help. The cars can't absorbe the energy from the impacts and instead always do some kind of "boing effect".

Seems I'm going to be very lonely in these races  Cry a second slower than everybody else means no one to race against. Although thankfully several had misfortune in the first race giving me the occasional sight of another car as they zoomed up and zoomed past.

2nd race I got squeezed from both sides in T1 resulting in me being the RAF facing backwards hoping everyone around me can get through without wrecking their races. I then tried to beat my then PB but if I pushed harder I kept falling off so quit.

I've recently installed CrewChief after all the praise it gets however I can never hear anything from it. Is there a way to test its sound output, select what sound device it uses, or a general you're a numpty setting I've missed?

I wasn’t massively enthusiastic about this series with eastern bloc cars and unknown tracks but the old adage of don’t knock it ‘till you try it came to the fore for me.  Smiley
Two very enjoyable races last night with plenty of action and racing fun on a great track. Even the grid looked fantastic with all the different car types lined up  Cool

In qually I only started 6th despite new pb’s. Got a good start whilst warily trying to watch the whole grid funnel into a tricky t1/t2 complex. Got through cleanly only to get a double thump up the derrier which gave me just yellow damage and was able to carry on without getting too out of shape. I seemed to have good race pace and systematically picked off each car in turn to get upto 3rd, including a couple of very enjoyable overtakes in the T1 turns  Smiley Syd was having a very good drive and stayed in my mirrors for the last laps of the race so I had to keep it steady whilst slowly gaining on Darren for 2nd. But like him, I had to short shift the last lap as fuel was on red! Crossed the line in 3rd with 0.1L  Shocked

Race 2 promised to be a corker with several quick guys at the rear. But there was a fairly chaotic first few laps and soon got upto 6th I think but after getting up the inside of someone at the hairpin turn they then thumped me so hard up the backside (twice!) that I got red rear end damage  Roll Eyes (note to other drivers, if you’ve lost the corner think about setting that car up for an overtake on the following straight, as they’ve usually had to take a tighter compromised line to get inside you, don’t ram them!). I didn’t know how much damage I had until the car went off track twice on the two following quick corners (must have lost my rear downforce) and I fell to near back of grid. I nearly quit but thought no it’s first rounds, need the points, so plugged on. Glad I did as I gained 5 places thorough others mistakes or overtakes  Grin Finished 6th.

I could not make the start, but this seems like a action packed round. If anyone could share their replay or put up a youtube vid, would be great.

Like Mark and FMG mentioned it is apreciated if some drivers could take a little more caution while driving in a pack. Not easy in the heat of the battle. I myself have made my share of mistakes too, but AC is too unforgiving when two cars touch and often kills the great battle you could be having with eachother. Then again it is competition and if you see a gap,..... Tongue
See you all at the next yet undiscovered track.
