Unfortunately the new Goodwood 1965 track appears to suffer from screen freezes so we have had to remove it from the schedule. In the 67F1 Grand Prix and Sprint races we have replaced Goodwood with Wiesbaden. This will be OK for the 67F1 cars but Wiesbaden is not a good choice for the 55GP cars; there are some heavy braking areas and a very difficult S-bend. Consequently a different replacement track is needed for the 55GP championship. So I have replaced Goodwood with Monsanto Park 1959. It isn't an easy track but it has a nice flow and should suite the 55 cars. If you have planned your car selection for the season, please review the car you have decided to use for Round 10.

Hi Phil,

Do you think it could be possible for me to race at Monsanto this sunday ?
If you agree, I will connect myself to the race at 21:10 (UK time) so ten minutes after the begin to be sure there is a free place.
I saw there was 18 - 18 - 16 drivers during the three last races so it should be possible !! ??

If I can, I would choose a Ferrari 625.
I made some trainings, at this time I am running around 2mn 19s per lap.
And as this is just a try for me (considering season 38), I will start in last position (even doing my best, I don(t think it could be better  Grin  )

Go for it David!
Monsanto is not a difficult circuit in the 55s.
Let me know if you require any help.

Edited my comment here, after turning some laps on Clive's 'Retirement' Server.  New tyres do not help laptimes. Angry Suggest bigger brakes for David & all maddog's.

Yes, you are very welcome. I've processed your registration, you should be able to see the password.

I've put you down as a Privateer so you are eligible for an initial 10 tokens plus 10 tokens for starting the race (20 in total). So you can drive any car. However, I wouldn't recommend the Mercedes-Benz W196 SL (far too heavy for Monsanto) and the Mercedes-Benz W196 is quite big too. The 625 is a good choice but the Lancia and Maserati are a bit quicker. If you want a nimble car that will turn nicely, the Connaught is very good (but a bit down on power). I wouldn't recommend the Gordini, in the right hands it can be quick but it requires a particular driving style to get the best out of it.

Thanks Phil and Clive !

I will use the Ferrari 625 as I trained with it.
For me, it is just a try to see if I would be able to drive these cars during season38.
In Monsanto, I will try to follow the slower driver which seems to be a hard challenge according to Martin' s comments  Cheesy

I did some laps on my server yesterday with the 625 and you are welcome to have the setup and replay of my best effort.

I think that the setup is still just a little tail-happy.  On some circuits that helps but on others you lose too much time and scrub off too much speed.  I like to compare my laps with anything quicker by using the analyser to see where I'm getting it wrong.

I use the default setups, they are pretty good for my driving style. I made a few adjustments for Indianapolis but for most of the regular circuits a default setup is fine. I think the 55s have improved my driving, everything happens a bit slower so you have time to think. The brakes are bad so you can't rely on quick reactions, you have to anticipate. The lack of grip means the steering is a bit loose which has forced me to use the throttle more to rotate the car in turns. This has helped me improve my driving in the other classes. Now you know my secret David, you'll be even harder to beat in Season 38 Wink.

Your registration has been processed Philippe, you should be able to see the race password when it is released. Same rules for you as for your friend David, 20 tokens so the Maserati is a good choice.

Please be careful on-track. The championships have not been decided, the race leaders will be fighting for the championship, please keep out of the way if you get lapped.
