Good reading Axel , I was sure win10 was a resource grabber in spite of them saying it was better than win7 , so I did the swap  Undecided

Is it possible to run Linux on the same PC as Win 7 or 10  with boot options for the OS of choice ?

Look into the link to srmz,
I  have a PC with W10 and manjaro, just on the same single 500GB  SSD!

ATM I prefer mint 20 but no problem too.

You have to dl the iso - write it on an USB-stick and boot it - the install menu on the desktop  does the job perfect

now on the manjaro OS

Linux is for us GPL user only good with an NVidia GPU, that's perfect,
but AMD GPU has a good driver but no openGL tweaking GUI so useless for us!  

If I start W10 I can't see any Linux partition but Linux can see and use all W10 partitions Wink

just quick and dirty cellphone snapshot...

to the W10 user with GPL fps problems...

Use O&O shutup10 https://www.oo-software.com/en/shutup10 and allow only the absolute necessary Wink

CCleaner helps to uninstall all stupid gimmicks, look what is left...




Rightclick on the PC-symbol lets you switch off the desastrous W10 update of the GPU driver Wink
