Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 58s

Grinsomat, Greg and RS are all heading for the apex of turn 1 at the same time. Three into one does not go and RS, who is on the outside and brakes late but locks a wheel, is spun across the front of Greg, who cannot move any more to the inside to make room for RS.

  • Racing incident

Server replay time: 68s

Grinsomat is on the inside going into turn 2 and Mo taps his rear, sending him into a spin. Grinsomat was very slow in the corner but this should've been expected because he was a long way to the inside.

  • mopenalty — rear ending Grinsomat — 2 places lost
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Server replay time: 74s

Mo is slowed by an incident at the previous corner and Greg gets alongside on the run down to Lamy. Mo, having the outside line, brakes later, but Greg, in the middle of the track, cannot quite back out far enough to avoid contact as Mo turns in.

  • Racing incident

Server replay time: 199s

Dan Minton gets himself two-thirds alongside Greg in VIP. Greg tries to take the late apex but fails to account for Dan being there and is spun out.

  • Racing incident

Server replay time: 527s

Truetom passes Greg on the front straight, and locks his brakes to avoid running into Grinsomat in turn 1. Greg tries to take advantage by taking a fast line to the extreme inside of the turn but fails to take account of how slow TrueTom is and taps him into a spin.

  • greg130 (Greg130)warning — contact with TrueTom
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Server replay time: 535s

RS gets a good run out of turn 1 and is half alongside Greg as they reach turn 2. Greg goes for the apex and RS locks a wheel trying to back out of the move but cannot and touches Greg, causing the latter to run off the track.

  • Racing incident

Server replay time: 879s

Edza has locked up and run off at Orelha. He rejoins but drives straight onto the track and across the racing line, narrowly avoiding taking out Pedro from the lead.

  • Edza (edza)penalty — dangerous rejoin — 2 places lost
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Server replay time: 1025s

Grimsomat uses TrueTom's slipstream past and goes into Parabolica Interior ahead, but locks a wheel and runs slightly wide. TrueTom goes for the game but Grinsomat tries to pull back to the inside and there is contact, Grinsomat spinning off, losing a fistful of places in the process.

  • Racing incident

Having decided to prepare for the final race (after totaly blowing Enna) I practiced some today. My current time is 1.48.399 with a slightly modified Simbin's "fast" setup.

Telemetry and setup provided here

Waiting for your feedback with tips how to shave 1-2 seconds off.

If you wander how "aliens" drive through Estoril take a look at Greger Huttu's flying lap in Viper GT.

video here

Thank to guys from my home league prs.simracing.pl for compiling this video and Gregger for submitting his replays and Motec data. If you are interested with other tracks, please visit the site and download your flavour Cheesy

I think the difference in driving in not as critical as it is that he's carrying high speed through the corners where others slow down (too much). Saw he drives some slow corners in 3rd while I do it in 2nd. Maybe that doesn't mean much 'cause you can change the gears and all, but anyway. The driving line seems much the same to me, maybe just that he turns in really rapidly, not allowing the front to slide any. But mostly I guess it just means driving siuts him better than it does us (me).  Wink

Huttu cheats the physics. He does lot's of throttle/braking at the same time, and his setups are extreme. Doing that in reallife will last nowhere. He is good, but in his own way. Lips Sealed

He's an alien - in his own way Cheesy

Btw. check my final qualification setup

A less skilled driver like myself is able to do 1.47.8xx so Ruskus, Jon and Matjaz will at least shave 2s off Cheesy

Setup gives a balanced and veeery forgiving car. It is designed to last in-lap and one flying lap.

Great thanks! Will try the tomorrow before the race and report. It will be difficult to get back to GTR1 after driving GTR2 Grin

I just drove a test 40min race with a setup based on the qualification one provided above and it was great. Med-med all the way allowed me to score some 1.48.1xx during the race and the car was just too easy to drive. Just a guess that you and Mat will judge the setup as too "gentle" Cheesy

Great setup Pedro. Though I can't reach your time, I expect to have a good race.

Yeh great time Pedro Shocked GTRank record for Elise stands at 1-47-4 so that's pretty fast mate. Got a feeling Matjaz will whip a 1-46 out and slap us all around with it for a while Cheesy Looking forward to the race as the Elise doesn't spin as much here as the GT cars so should be a corker Cool

Boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooring.

Jon and pedro were infront of me and driving away. and I was driving away from the guy behind, so I was all alone for 40 minutes.

Dumb track, stupid race.

End. Grin

Grats Jon on the win of the race and championship

I had quite a fun race early on - was up as high as sixth when my pedal cable decided to disconnect itself. Had a few good battles with lots of the dark blue cars. Made a couple of stupid mistakes which ensured I didn't finish any higher, but I had a lot of fun.

I enjoyed the race. Not much passing between me and Pedro but the chase was great. I seemed to be about 0.1 quicker a lap and made a few minor mistakes which put me a few seconds down but then there was the chase Grin I ended up with 7 rear wing which seemed to help at the end of the race as the car just got better and better as it got lighter. Pedro seemed to struggle a little towards the end which was lucky for me cus I don't think I could've passed him had he not gone onto the grass. Anyway great race all.see ya'll at the next 'un Cool
