Wow great pics (yeah, yeah I know). This one has me excited. It, potentially, looks like a completely different animal to GTR and that is interesting.

Yep!
Must say although I'm sure GTR 2 is better than GTR 1, it's still GT/NGT cars, which I've played a lot so not really a new game. I love the GTR cars, but you can get so much of it before it starts to become samey. We'll see if GTR 2 gives enough extra to help my waining interest. I hope so.

It looks pretty I've always wanted to race Macau in a sim, so I'll probably be getting this.

Looks fantastic, similar to GTR2's wet weather rendering style- they must be sharing code. I want my Alfa now!

Looks mighty fine.
I hope they are not sharing to much code or we're going to end up with another slight improvement rather than whole new experience I was looking for.

Agreed mate, I want them competing with each other to ensure we get the best games possible. I suspect lots is being shared but individuals will still want to tweak here and their to beat their counterparts in the other company and that might introduce some new ideas. I'm in a positive mood today

I'm guessing there's going to be some sort of "one-upmanship" - competition is the thing that pushes people to stretch themselves. There are going to be obvious similiarities, it would be nice to see them topping the last game produced by "the competition".

You're kidding right? Surely the introduction of wipers is such a major step forward that it will be heralded as a revolutionary product compared to GTR2 just for that?

You know what - I almost made mention of that in my post - that'd be more like "one-quarter-upmanship". Let's have some real advancements.
