If you have anything useful, add it here....
.PLR file edits:
// view Glance Angle="1.50000" // changes look left or right angle to 90 degrees, very useful when re-joining the track (default "0.75000" = 45 degrees) Glance Rate="12.00000" // changes speed of view movement (default "7.00000")
// change values below to reduce ghost car visibility in time trail mode Ghost min alpha distance="0.50000" Ghost max alpha distance="50.00000" Ghost min alpha value="0.00000" Ghost max alpha value="1.00000"

Rename Intro.bik & GameIntro.bik in the MovieFiles folder to skip the intro animations and go straight into the game.

Make sure "number of visible cars" in the video options is set high enough. I had it set to 36, and with 36 opponents on track (+ my car = 37) the car next to me was invisible.

That was offline. I qualified in 2nd, and at the start the pole-sitter was invisible! If you set it to less than the number of actual cars you're going to have problems. I wouldn't worry about frame rates. My system can handle 36 cars with most detail levels set to full, so yours should do even better.

Perhaps not exactly a hint or tip (so I'm prepared to be remonstrated with), but there's a PLR file setting called "Only External Engine Sounds". Setting this to 1 will use external engine sounds (which in some cases are arguably more meaty/exhausty) for the internal car views. Some will hate it, some might quite like it. EDIT - Dave removed his reply immediately before mine which makes the first part of the above sentence totally nonsensical

Cheers Andy, will give that one a whirl and see how i find it. Was sadly disapointed in some of the in-car engine sounds. :'( Not speaking as a know it all gamer, i've owned both a TVR and a Porsche and both were/are loud/aggressive in road going trim (more so the TVR), yet alone race trim. You can even download in-car and track-side audio footage of an RSR from the Porsche web-site ....so no excuses I know your guys have turned up trackside for the WTCC series so surprised you didnt do the same for GTR2 ...or did you and then someone neutered it in the sound studio for the game ?

Well that's just an utterly pointless setting then. Thanks for the hint about that bug.

Well you wanted the thread uncluttered, so I uncluttered it and now you've just gone and cluttered it up again. Well done!

To get your G racer lcd working with the G15 keyboard: Look for your .plr file in your userdata (C:\GTR2\UserData\yourname) and open it with notepad. Search for "Write Shared Memory" and set it to "1" instead of "0". RSC's not all bad
