Driver lists can be found on the championship standings page

Welcome to the 5th round of the Srou Formula Easter Championship.
We are visiting Serbia this round at the Miseluk city circuit.
This one won't be great for practice I'm afraid but should make up for that once you have a bunch of cars to race against!

Starting this round I've reduced the reverse grid to only the top 6, I don't like having to do this as it removes an aspect of the challenge - but clearly the full reversed grid is unmanageable.

Password: see above

ALL TIMES ARE BST
Practice: 19:30 (45 mins)
Qual: 20:15 (15 mins)
Race: 20:30  (2x 20 mins - 2nd race is reversed grid for the top 6 finishers)
(20mins plus 1 lap each race)

Complete car pack download can be found here:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/ink98yqcz20i7ca/Srou%20Formula%20Easter%20cars.rar?dl=0
If you extract the RAR into your Assetto Corsa directory and let it overwrite, then everything should end up in the right place Smiley

The following cars are available - note that the Estonia 21 will be an older version of the Mod (V1.0.3), this is because the current version - while more accurate to real life - is heavily under powered compared to the rest of the field. If you have the original version of my full pack (Brands Hatch or earlier) and haven't updated the Estonia yet you can download just it at the following location:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/6pv084sa39qgvio/estonia_21%20V1.1.2.rar?dl=0

SKIN PACK! You will need the 2 following skins for this series (otherwise Fabri and Barone will be in boring white cars!):

Shouldn't be, I'll attack it tomorrow (and source a more reliable track map!)
I spent this afternoon building a new pc so haven't been able to see the carnage here Cheesy

If I'm really lucky I may finally have something fast enough to actually run acc in VR  Roll Eyes just in time if so as the GT4's sound far more interesting than the 3's to me...

Not if you still use a cv1, think the Unreal engine just doesn’t support low res Vr well enough. I can quite easily run 25 car mp races but the resolution even with my improved Rift S is still crap, hence why I’ve used my triples for all online league racing. Also I got micro stutters with over 25 cars in mp racing in VR. But not using vr on tighter tracks like zolder or zandvoort is painful, losing that ability to look into or ahead of apexes, nose to nose racing etc. Plus the cockpits are well detailed.
I’m a bit underwhelmed with the gt4 cars so far, they are predictably a lot slower than gt3 so not as exciting to sim drive but am sure will make for some close racing with a good grid. Nice choice of cars too.

I thought GT4 still had no ABS or traction control?
That automatically makes them more interesting as far as I'm concerned. If they do have it then I'll just continue to to avoid it anyway.

Server is now updated and should be working  Smiley

the GT4 cars certainly move around a bit more, not sure on the abs/tc but not sure why they wouldn't have it as the real world cars do don't they? Ive only run a handful of laps in a few cars but didn't pay attention to any electronic help. They seem quite different to each other which is nice, for variation.

These eastern euro track mod conversions have all been great quality for both layout and attention to detail, high quality mods. Been refreshing for this series  Smiley

Turns out modern GT4 has aids, just less power and downforce than GT3.

I've just run 2 10 minute races against 40 AI cars at Spa in the rain and noticed about 3 stutters in the entire race - I'll do the next online race I spot and then might buy some DLC if the performance stays good  Grin
I like the added details of the marshals waving mechanical flags at you - all because you've turned your lights off at the start when you failed to realise they were already on  ninja

As for the Easter track selection - these have almost all been around on RD for years, I'm actually surprised we haven't used most of them before!

Re ACC yeah I can run big grids with vr fine offline but it’s mp when you start to get the stutters (over 25 cars). But it’s the crap blurry res I don’t like, I get a much sharper image in older AC  Huh

These tracks haven’t been used as none of us have heard of them  Tongue but they cool and high quality thankfully.

Shame we had low numbers tonight.
I was 4th fastest, somewhat behind top 3 and ahead of the rest. In the first race Kai made a mistake, and that got me 3rd place. I managed to get a brake from Stefan, and keep a safe distance.
Second race was a bit more eventful.I started 4th just like in race one, but Mark missed the start, so essentially started 3rd. Tim got by me quickly, so I was 4th and trying to hold of Fabri. Just as he passed me, Stefan made a mistake so I was still 4th. This time there was no threat from behind, so I could watch on the time sheets how Fabri slowly caught up to top three. With about three laps to go Tim had a lap from hell, and I was promoted to third. And on the last lap Kai made a mistake, and Fabri got the win. Looking at the replay, I don't know how Kai managed to continue from that crash, it looked like a pretty heavy impact.

I made a couple of videos of the races, if anyone wants to take a look. I think a I got all drivers for at least a bit.

There might be a problem with championship. On the standings page I no longer see Grobnik, first race is Nemuno Žiedas.

Fixed the standings tables - I was being thick as we had 8 events and told LM2 that's how many races there were  Embarrassed

Race 1 went very well for me after getting by Fabri, I had to push like crazy to keep the gap at around 1 second so it was anything but boring!

Race 2 started very well - whether it was the low turnout or just how dangerous the track is I don't know, but it all appeared to be clean!
It took me about 15 minutes to get to Kai and eventually pass him for the lead, then a few laps later I span entering the motorway on-ramp, I kept the car spinning as it was so tight there but both Kai and Fabri were already gone.
That overheated my rear tires and caused me to spin again twice at the bottom of the highway section.
Gutted by that as I knew this was one of the strongest tracks for the Estonia Sad

Bad luck also to Kai, and good luck to Fabri and Syd!

what a disaster of an evening i had thanks to Oculus  Roll Eyes

had my bloody pc on and off all day yesterday without a single notification from Oculus and then as soon as i fired up AC at 7.45 i got all the error messages and new software/drivers required. It took nearly 40minutes to sort out properly so i lost all pre race practise and qually.  Cry When i finally did get in, none of my setups were visible for this or previous tracks for this car  Huh so i had to run blind so to speak. I used the default with a couple of tweaks but it was dog slow and yet amazingly i still made up 3 places throughout the race  laugh

Race 2 as if my night wasnt bad enough so far, with literally about 10 seconds to go until green light i realised all my controls had frozen (couldnt even click 'race') had to ctrl-alt-del off the grid  Angry rejoined nearly a lap down already at race start.  taz All i could do was trundle around at the back and also had 10L too much fuel  in the car  Roll Eyes Did still take about 25 secs out of the back markers but finished plum last.

That was my least favourite track config of the series, although the track was very nicely modelled. But a night to forget. Sad to see the turn out drop so drastically too.  Undecided
Costly for me in terms of points lost.  Cry
