Driver lists can be found on the championship standings page

Welcome to the 6th round of the Srou Formula Easter Championship.
We are visiting Slovakia this round on the UCS layout of Slovakiaring.
This is a big modern circuit with some fantastic corners and passing opportunities, so hopefully we'll have a big grid to fight amongst.

Following from last round the reverse grid will remain with only the top 6 being switched, as we had a very clean looking race last time out.

ALL TIMES ARE BST
Practice: 19:30 (45 mins)
Qual: 20:15 (15 mins)
Race: 20:30  (2x 20 mins - 2nd race is reversed grid for the top 6 finishers)
(20mins plus 1 lap each race)

Complete car pack download can be found here:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/ink98yqcz20i7ca/Srou%20Formula%20Easter%20cars.rar?dl=0
If you extract the RAR into your Assetto Corsa directory and let it overwrite, then everything should end up in the right place Smiley

The following cars are available - note that the Estonia 21 will be an older version of the Mod (V1.0.3), this is because the current version - while more accurate to real life - is heavily under powered compared to the rest of the field. If you have the original version of my full pack (Brands Hatch or earlier) and haven't updated the Estonia yet you can download just it at the following location:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/6pv084sa39qgvio/estonia_21%20V1.1.2.rar?dl=0

SKIN PACK! You will need the 2 following skins for this series (otherwise Fabri and Barone will be in boring white cars!):

Quali was quite good considering the poor practice I had on this track.

Race 1 was really fun. I had a great battle with Jari. I think he was a bit faster on fast sections but I had greater speed on the straight, so I managed to stay in front until after the fast right I saw him going wide, a pity, it was great fun.

race 2 was the opposite. I had one incident with Kimi in the first lap. I rejoined last and with quite a lot of damage on the front wing that cause me quite of understeer. I tried to join the pack again pushing at the maximum. At the end I got another incident with SRW.

I will report race 2. I don't blame anyone, let's be clear. I just want to listen a third opinion about it.

Hate doing it but turned up with zero laps practise for this track due to a work return and two ACC events in last 4 days. So had to learn it fast which isn’t so tough with this track but you only learn the faster tricks with more and more laps. Probably why I started with a 1:37 and ended up with 1.29.6  phone

Race 1 was a titanic battle with Kimi for 6th the whole race. Great fun but I had a tad too much wing and 2 extra laps fuel  Hit with a wet fish so finished 6th

Race 2 had some good scraps early on including a fast Fabri trying to get past. But once he did I was left trailing the front pack in 5th by a few secs and with a big gap to the rest. Finished 5th  Smiley

Good fun, just It’s a real shame the numbers dropped right off for this series as this track deserved a good grid.  Sad

Race 1
I qualified 3rd, but Tim outbraked me for T1 and I was 4th. For most of the race, that seem to be it for me. I could stay close to Tim, but had no chance to fight. Midway through made a small mistake, so I lost the slipstream and was hanging 2-3 seconds back. Unitl with I think 3 laps to go when Tim and I did a bit oh synchronized spinning. I got out of it a bit better, so I was third now, but I think Tim was running lower wings, so he managed to slisptream by me going into t1 on the last lap. I couldn't get him back and finished 4th.

Race 2
I was 3rd on the start and kept through T1. Barone was in the lead and Kimi was second. At the end of the laps there was some contact between the cars in front, Barone went off the track, and Kimi I guess slowed down to wait for him, so I was in the lead. I kept the lead for about half a race, but soon Kai was on me, and after about a lap of very close fighting, he got a good run on me out of the last turn and got by me. Tim was right behind, and I knew I had to keep in Kais slipstream if I wanted to stay ahead. I could also see on the time sheets that Barone cleared Mark and was closing in on us. With something like 3 laps to go I had a moment going through t1-t2 section which meant I lost contact with Kai and the battle was on with Tim. He was all over the back of my car, and on the last lap managed to get by going into T1, but I stayed very close, and we were side by side going into t4, when Tim went a bit too wide, caught some dirt which lost him momentum, and both Fabri and myself were through. Fabri was showing his nose in my mirrors, but I knew I just had to keep it on the racing line, as it was all corners till the end, I stayed ahead to finish 2nd.

Grats Kai on the double win, and Tim and Fabri on the podiums and great racing.

I'll have videos from the races on a little later Smiley.

Avia was great on this track.

For the race I preferred to use a more stable and conservative setup, this took out me a few tenths, because during training I was more in the sand than track :-)
In race 1 I found that Kai was very fast, with a good pace. I leaded for some laps, trying to defend myself from him, but I lost the position and finished 2nd.

Race 2: I had a long and nice battle with Mark, but this made me lose a bit of time from the leading group. During the last laps I managed to rejoin and grab the podium, taking advantage of a small mistake by Tim.

In any case, good races and without catastrophic accidents. Too bad that some drivers have quit this season.

Very good races, Kai and Syd!

I made the reports for race 2.
Again, I don't care about penality and I don't blame anyone of anything. I just would like for a 3rd party to watch and judge the events in order to discuss it.

I'm making a little video about me and Jari battle on race 1. I won't be able to do the editing for a few days but I hope to be bale to show it next week.
