Driver lists can be found on the championship standings page

Welcome to the final round of the Srou Formula Easter Championship.
We are finishing at the fantastic Bikernieki circuit in Latvia.
Hopefully we can get a much bigger grid for this one as we already know it's a great track to race these on.

Following from last round the reverse grid will remain with only the top 6 being switched, as we had a very clean looking race last time out.

Password: see above

ALL TIMES ARE BST
Practice: 19:30 (45 mins)
Qual: 20:15 (15 mins)
Race: 20:30  (2x 20 mins - 2nd race is reversed grid for the top 6 finishers)
(20mins plus 1 lap each race)

Complete car pack download can be found here:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/ink98yqcz20i7ca/Srou%20Formula%20Easter%20cars.rar?dl=0
If you extract the RAR into your Assetto Corsa directory and let it overwrite, then everything should end up in the right place Smiley

The following cars are available - note that the Estonia 21 will be an older version of the Mod (V1.0.3), this is because the current version - while more accurate to real life - is heavily under powered compared to the rest of the field. If you have the original version of my full pack (Brands Hatch or earlier) and haven't updated the Estonia yet you can download just it at the following location:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/6pv084sa39qgvio/estonia_21%20V1.1.2.rar?dl=0

SKIN PACK! You will need the 2 following skins for this series (otherwise Fabri and Barone will be in boring white cars!):

Definitely a cool little track in these cars, feels like a go-kart whipping around some of the turns, especially sector 3.  Cool But with yet another track for me to learn for an ACC race at Kyalami tonight my practise will once again be limited before race night  Cry

Hi guys, back from my holliday. But not had time to fire up the pc, so if I am able to race tonight it will be with no practice. If so I will start at the back then.

And I cant't see the password yet...

A serious question for you all, given that it's currently 32 degrees + here in the UK and hot over much of Europe do you still want the race to go ahead tonight?
Given the lack of attendees already I thought it better to check first rather than be one of 4 drivers to turn up!

Bah enjoyed the first race and finished 4th and did a few 23’s Smiley
With a couple of tweaks to make I was hopeful for an even better race 2 but then my damn broadband dropped  Angry by the time I could rejoin you guys were 2 mins into the race  Cry

Well done to all who raced the full series,  thumbup1  shame about the drop outs leaving us a small grid  Sad

Well done to Tim for organising a great fun and interesting single seater series  Cool

Altough I had to miss the majority of the races, I really enjoyed the close racing this series provided. Thanks to all who raced and a big thanks to FMG for organising this.
More than happy to do a re-run in the future with these cars.

So who won the championship?  Tongue

I lost, lost for 1 point  angel If my math is correct.

I could have done it, but in Race 2, in the early laps when I was third, I lost control in the fast left corner. A real shame, and I wasn't even pushing, I never had excessive troubles in that corner in 100 laps.
I destroyed the nose of my car. It took me a few laps to understand the new handling (a lot of understeer), but in the last few laps I saw that SRW wasn't very far and I started pushing, more out of pride than anything else, since the championship was over anyway.
I managed to finish 3rd, taking advantage of a small mistake by Syd and attacking Stephen right in the last corners.

Hard to say what it would have been like if I hadn't made that mistake in the beginning. It certainly wouldn't have been easy to pass Tim (considering that my advantage was mainly in the turns), but I would have tried for sure.

A great championship, full of twists, mistakes, accidents and unpredictable situations. Too bad half of the players left halfway. A very well organized series.

Congratulations to Tim (who fought and won with a slower car), to Kai (very fast) and Syd (incredible in defense), but also to all those who continued to race honoring the championship.

Edit: maybe I have confused SRW with Jari, not sure. My team no longer showed me the table, they were eating ice cream, after my mistake at the start of the race.

The Championship was fun indeed. Even if I wasn't able to participate to all races.
Thank you Tim for the organisation and well done!
And thanks everyone participating for the fun! Smiley
