Championship standings HERE

Grid/server capacity: 22

Track: Nurburgring  (Müllenbachschleife)

Cars allowed: Ford Mustang

RACE ONE - CUP STAGE B, Round 6

Practice: ~19:20 (60 mins)
Qualifying: 20:20 (10 mins)
Race: 20:30 (21 laps)

Time of Day Setting: 14:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal

Server: simracing.org.uk Monday
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: To score points in this series you must complete over 50% of the overall race distance.

Great entertainment in both races. It was so close and tough all over the distances.

For race 1 Daz was too quick in the qualy so i had to take P2. The start was slow and Geoffers was able to overtake me. After a small mistake from him at the last corner i was able to catch him and outbrake him to clinch the second position. Until the end we had great chase with Daz and we drove with the same pace as Geoff made a mistake so it was up to us to decide the winner. Daz just didn't make even a small mistake and took the victory home.

Race 2 was a nightmare. I was able to see me taking the pole but Geoff was just faster at the end and started from P1. Another bad start from me meant that i was now in P4. After Daz made a mistake it was a battle for second position between me and Dan and i was too brave in turn 1, braking too late and hitting Dan. It was all my fault.

Driving too aggressive after that in search for a better position made me do 3 cut's and i had to go to the pit for 10 sec stop/go penalty.

I had luck because some of the drivers in front of me had retire and i was now fighting at the end with Tony and Dan for the final place on the podium. Tony made a mistake and it was now up to me and Dan to decide the 3rd position. He was very quick and consistent and i just had no chance there.

Congrats to Daz and Geoffers for the wins and to Dan and Daz for the podiums as well.

I know it is not everyone's cup of tea, but I really like the Mustang, armfulls of opposite lock everywhere, but quite controllable.

Had a fun few opening laps racing with Daz & DD at Mullenbach until I missed my braking point at the cut through entrance & spun the car. Only managing to catch & pass Kurt before the finish.

At Zolder I plucked a lap out of somewhere to just pip DD for pole. Got away at the start & with Daz going grasstracking on lap 1 & DD & Dan colliding on lap 2, I had a fairly comfortable race at the front, lonely but still fun.

Congrats to Daz on his win & to DD & Dan on their podiums.  clap clap clap
