great racing once again.
I was lucky again as in race 1 almost all of the other drivers had problems at lap 1 and i was able to go ahead and make some lead. At the end of the race i made a big mistake, kissing the grass and went off, but i had good lead and was able to finish in P1.
Race 2 was one of those great duels with Geoff that we have for months now.
Once again he was so fast and took the pole. I was calm though as i knew i can go faster in the race because i didn't made the best possible lap at the qualy. But it turns out that Geoff was hiding some pace for the race as well.
This time i was able to make a decent start with the Alfa and just stay ahead of the powerhouse Dan was driving. From here the battle started. Geoffers was faster in the first 2 laps and i knew that if i let the gap go more than 2-3 seconds it will be over. Fortunately when my tires started working at their optimal temperatures now i was faster. I was just behind Geoff and preparing my first attack.
It was very funny how he made a mistake on turn 3 and unfortunately for me i returned the favor 100 meters later on the chicane.
After another little mistake at the chicane i took the lead but the show was going to continue. As we know that Geoff is very determined driver and can keep his tires greatly he was saving his best for the second part of the race. Here i was tested at the maximum as Geoff was all over my back. I knew that even the smallest mistake here will make the race almost impossible to win for me as he was clearly faster.
I went defending the position few times and got totally lucky when in the penultimate lap he lost his car on acceleration and span.
It was going to be so interesting in the last lap but this is racing and it was normal that someone was going to made a mistake as we were driving on the limit for so long.
Congrats to Matt and Geoff for the podiums at Race 1 and Geoff and Daz for the podium at Race 2.
