Personally I'd rather go with whatever came next in the poll if we're ditching the 2005 car. Had enough of DTM Mercs recently..!

I sense some vote swapping here  Roll Eyes

I am not doing NSU this series, we have flogged those to death. Next would be the Pork gt3 cup
which again we have done in the past and got some hate mail for. Yes I know some cars have
changed.

I am going to go with Merc2003 this time round, we will have another vote at the end for next series
if people want NSU we will do them. And anything else that is suggested will be in the vote

Enjoyed that  Grin Lots of dicing, too much time in the sand which makes the tyres silly in this
like overheated tyres in AC are just nuts. Good fun all the same.

Well done Geoff on the win (and no mistakes?), well done Mark on second and strong pace throughout and well done Pete for battling back to third. Well done everyone else who raced as well for keeping it on the track better than I managed  thumbup1

This was the first time I'd ever driven these cars and every time I put a rear wheel onto a kerb in the dirty air behind another car it switched ends. Early on my pace wasn't too bad but every time I got closer to Mark I'd hang a rear wheel out onto a kerb and throw it off. As I lost positions and tried to play catch up, I'd throw it off again every time I'd closer to the next car.

My many excursions across the grass set up a good last lap battle with Toni, I was a little worried about throwing it off again and ruining Toni's race but managed to send it through the last two right handers and get the pass done cleanly.

My first time driving these last night, I know because when I came to join the server I had to buy one! Unlike Glenn I found I could lose the back on the kerbs without having to follow anyone  Roll Eyes

Got a poor start but everyone gave everyone room at the start I somehow I ended up third coming out of the hairpin out the back. Mark, Glenn and myself pulled away slowly but without mistakes I don't think I'd have got passed either of them. Then Glenn had the first of his misdemeanours and I was 2nd for all of about 3 corners and totally missed my braking for the right hander in to the stadium complex towards the end of the lap. Didn't mean to block whoever I did but the car was on jelly with the dirty tyres and I had little control.

From them on it was battling back. Made a couple of passes, got a couple of places as others had issues, and ended up in third. Probably where I should have been. These cars are going to be a handful elsewhere but I did enjoy my first adventure with them.

Good luck with the new band Markus but you need to work on them to pick another night to rehearse Wink

Bit late joining last night due to Windows update & then Logitech wanting to update GHub before it would recognise my wheel, so it was the start of qually by the time I got on the server. Qualified 5th, but I knew I could go a bit faster, so hoped to stay with the front guys in the race.

Early laps were not promising & after having a short dice with Toni I settled in to a steady race in 4th. A lap or so later this became 3rd when Glenn went mowing & a couple of corners later this turned into 2nd when Pete explored the gravel into the stadium. Glenn was still close behind & we were starting to gain on Mark but an error braking for the chicane let Glenn back past & lost me some ground. I regained 2nd when Glenn spun again & by now my lap times were really tumbling & when Mark got a bit squirrelly at T2-3 I was able to take the lead. Eventually managed to ease away & take the win. Grin

Congrats to Mark & Pete on the podium.  clap clap

The usual DTM story: good pace in quali, not so much in the race, especially once the fronts went. Had a strange event in the stadium section when Martin was making an overtaking move but avoided contact, yet my rear just came loose and I spun  Huh. Normally I'd guess netcode issues but RaceRoom doesn't really have those. Is low-speed rear aero wash even a thing?

At least no more Hockenheim, the most miserable of all RaceRoom tracks...
