Championship Standings

Example Setups:

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see
cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the
rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the Euro and American Track Packs for this series (And maybe another
non pack track occasionally)
(4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit.

(5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

Anyone else tried this car and having severe difficulties keeping the rear from stepping out when locking the brakes? Even with 65-35 brake bias, I am spinning like a top as soon as the brakes lock. That's as far it lets me go so I'm kind of out of ideas how exactly this car is supposed to be made driveable.

You are probably driving harder than I am, and, I tend to come off the brake during downshifts
But have a go with this? For me it mostly locks the fronts if I just stand on the brakes.
Try reducing the brake amount event less perhaps?

Can you change the diff settings on the car? Increasing coast locking.

No diff is set except for preload.

Turning brake pressure down to around 85% seemed to help with bias at 57/43. Also changing down too quick is not recommended I found, don't think this car has a system which prevents changing down if revs are too high, hence it can lock the rears if you drop a gear too quick. Taking the hairpin in 2nd also seems advisable. Apart from the hairpin the rest of the lap is not too difficult.

Downshifting makes no difference. Try driving in a straight line, apply full brakes from 200 kph with no down shifting. The car will spin randomly to either left or right once the brakes lock. This is with 80% brake pressure and 65-35 bias. This is not how a race car is supposed to behave.

I find it to be a bit too much rear bias as standard. If everyone has the same issue
I can move to the 2003 variant, it's brakes seem more "normal"

Interestingly, if you return brake pressure to 100% the front brakes lock properly and the car stops in a straight line. So I suspect there is a bug where the brake pressure adjustment only applies to front brakes, not rear brakes.

Huh Pffff, even more difficult than FRJ. Braking and throttling like its a brand new car.

Thx for the heads up, only thursday training would have been a disaster.

Confirmed on the S3 forum that they suspect it's an issue with engine braking. We can try and see how it goes on Thursday, but if the car remains broken I'm probably not going to do too many of these.

I would favour a change to using the 2003 car.

We have used the 2003 car before with no issues, and, I had a go at the same track, and I had no trouble with braking.
Shout up guys, otherwise I will change it to 2003 car tommorow.

The C-Class 2003 seems more manageable so I would favour switching, but also understand if people don't want to change cars so late. I think we need to make the decision tonight so people have time to prepare.

I agree. I think I prefer the 2003 anyway, so amy happy to use that one.
Assume we will switch unless people shout this evening.
