That was good fun for the first half, battling with Zacari and Shark and looking like I might make an impression on Madd-RIPP and PRibeiro, until at about half distance my rear tyre pressures suddenly started acting vey erratic and I had understeer in the slow corners occaisionally punctuated by massive oversteer in the fast stuff, which was especially fun when it happened in Nurburgring, letting Zacari past, and then again in Estoril, putting me in danger from Goran behind.

They weren't especially worn and I didn't really change my driving style up to that point so I'm perplexed by what happened. Huh

I should've taken the Cortina, it was very quick on the fast straights once it got some wind in its sails and I normally prefer its handling.

Great, superb race. I loved every minute of it. Very close front battles - it was exactly what the TC65 races are all about.
In qually I did very well - but LeH got a great lap in just second before next session. So I started second - than in the race I went into p1, droped back to p2, attacked again and droped down to p3. After a few laps I was able to get back into second place and make a safe gap on Baracus. I than started my attack - started doing some seriously fast laptimes - getting down into 2:11.6 (0.2 better than my qually time) in the proces. Right at the end of the race I cought up with LeH and immidiatly started an attack at the hairpin - I wasnt able to pass at first, but I made sure that I was close behind going into the last lap. I was able to get alongside LeH and make a clean pass into the hairpin. After that pass he wasnt able to repass me - I have been quicker in the midd section all trough the race and got enough of a gap to have a not too tense run to the line.
Well done everybody - I think that this was the first UKGTL race where there was no lapping and the pace at the front was very quick.  Smiley

Well I admit to making a complete noob error on the formation lap which I hope to severly battered with a wet kipper for. Hit with a wet fish Weaving around and lost it spinning onto edge of track. Had to wait for whole field to come by and rejoin at back. It all sort of happened in slow motion really. Hmm, turning a little too much, hmm weight of car pulling meeee rooooound, ah, seem to be losing it, best do something about it, ahhh, toooo late. Most embaressing. Never done that before and hopefully never again.

Anyway, gave me some fun for the first few laps as I past the tail end. Then got near Zacari and Dave and promptly spun again on my own into the hairpin under brakes losing 4 seconds. After many laps I caught them up again, got a great exit out of final chicane and Zacari let me past. Did the same to Gizmo who made a mistake in the final chicane and I pulled along side and told him over team speak "you go" as he had the inside line, and he was like "no you go", very gentlemenly, but eventually we'd really slowed trying to be polite into T1 and I decided to go.

Then left Zacari and Gizmo for dead and caught up to Ribeiro in the last 2 laps. His line was braking very late and then cutting sharply back onto the apex whereas I was just smoothly driving the line. With only 1 real lap to do something I tried but it wasn't safe and not enough time to learn where my passing opporunity really was. Was a good scrap at the end thx.

Fastard is Grimfairclp - I asked during practice 'cause I remembered we couldn't identify him previously.

Yes, this was a very nice race. Already quali was exciting, and again it showed how much faster online laps are. I was very happy to get pole, especially since I knew I just had this one last chance to make a perfect lap.

It happens that it takes me a few laps until I find my ideal pace with the race setup, and Pero took that chance and overtook me rather easily right at the beginning. I was already fearing he would disappear at the horizon soon, but I could manage to counter and even open a gap to him. I was surprised that he even fell back to 3rd, and started to wonder what was going on with him. Then in the last third of the race, when I already thought it would be a boring finish and went a bit easier, I saw him coming closer again. I tried to push more, but couldn't get the laps done as clean as I needed, while Pero was just flying closer. The lap before last I could keep him still behind by driving fast enough, but in the last lap he used my slipstream nicely on the straight, so I decided to brake into Adelaide on the inside, so he had to take the longer way. This gave me a disadvantage accelerating out tho, so he could get in front until the chicane. I could manage to stick close to him, but had no chance for a counter until the finishline anymore.

I wish Ruskus would post one of his laptime tables, since I really want to know how Pero's and my laptimes developed during the race, to learn if it were my times getting worse or Pero getting an adrenaline boost, or a combo of both, that caused this developing.

Very nice race all, and awesome job Pero.

**edit**
Just saw that the export with laptimes is in the replay-archive. I managed to driver rather conistant 2.02s throught the whole race, while Pero started with 2:03s and then really must have gotten an adrenaline boost and did a couple of 2.01s. Very nice job.
