GTR2 Fun Race at Imola

All forum members welcome.

Date: Monday 9th October

Practice 1: 8:15pm (30 mins)
Qual 2: 8:45pm (20 mins)
Warmup: 9:05pm (2 mins)
Race: 9:07pm (40 mins)

Cars allowed: Any
Weather: Dry
Track: Imola

Server: Simracing.org.uk
Password: see this post

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the UKGTR Rules - especially the new speed limiter starting procedure.

The correct procedure is brake-swear, not swear-brake.

I'm expecting a big turnout for this race now the game is out in the UK.

We can test the tyre wear over our normal sprint league race distance. The softs seem to last OK for 30 minutes, wonder if anyone will be brave enough to try them for 40?

Does anybody have problems with the brakes cause with the AI difficulty on 100% they outbrake me by so much its embarrasing.I have´nt changed the brakes setup or anything and I dont lock the brakes up so I dont know what it could be.If anyone could give me some advice it would be much apreciated cause its really starting to get on my nerves Angry

Which car? If the braked don't lock up, try to get the brakebias to the rear more, with 100% brakepressure. Also turn off autoclutch and enginebrake while braking.

Well I did some practise on the server last night along with some others how where on at the time.

Given the nature of the track, I can see a fair few GT drivers been shown up by the faster nGT drivers, myself included  helpsmilie

I got a pathetic 1:53 something, but that was with 44 Laps of fuel in the car, Leuven was in the 1:49's.

1:49's surrender

What car was he driving?

I'm struggling in the 1:53s with the RSR. hang

I can get quicker in time trial mode, but that's irrelevant.  In racing mode I just can't get my tyre temps right Sad

I did a 1:48.195 in a race in the RSR.

In the GT class I'm in the 1:41's with several cars.

Hotlap for the interested (NGT).
