GTR2 Fun Race at Donington National

All forum members welcome.

Date: Tuesday 10th October

Practice 1: 8:15pm (15 mins)
Qual 2: 8:30pm (15 mins)
Warmup: 8:45pm (2 mins)
Race: 8:47pm (20 mins)

Cars allowed: Any 2003 or 2004 NGT
Weather: Dry
Track: Donington National

Server: Simracing.org.uk
Password: see this post

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the UKGTR Rules - especially the speed limiter starting procedure.

The correct procedure is brake-swear, not swear-brake.

If there is enough interest (I'm guessing there will be  Wink ), we can have a second race with a random starting grid when the first one finishes.

Great, Donnington national. The best version of the track, and with a gooood car choice.

If we fill the main server again tomorrow I'll try hosting a game from my home PC as an overflow server.

Would this not be a good chance to try a standing start as it is now available.....?

Just an idea

True, if we can't maange them safely in Cortinas we probably can't in 600 BHP monsters either. We will give them a go at some point, they are fun (when you don't get taken out at T1). Not now though, we need to get the new drivers used to our normal starting procedure. Making any changes to the start is a real problem, people don't always read the race threads properly or check the chat window during the warmup session.  Undecided
