Welcome to the start of the Porsche RSR Challenge - This is loosely based on our first outing in these cars several years ago, so expect very short qualifying sessions. The 1st series featured single lap qualifying which was a bit awkward to monitor, so I will be reducing the qualifying sessions to only allow time for 2 flying laps. So make sure you have space around you and get a good 'banker' in before you go nuts Password: see above Practice: 19:30 (53 mins) Qual: 20:23 (7 mins) Race: 20:30 (30 mins + 1 lap) Cars allowed: 1972 Porsche RSR (Kunos Porsche pack #1 add-on) Skin pack available here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/vp9qetzvztkfnk0/RSR%20Skinpack.zip?dl=0Drop it into your assetto corsa folder - It shouldn't over-write anything unless you already have any of the skins included. Track: Anglesey - Dry Download link: https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/anglesey-circuit-trac-m%C3%B4n-wet-weather.9100/Live Timing: hereTime of Day Setting: 13:30 Weather: Mid-clear Start: Standing Tyre wear: Normal Fuel consumption: Normal Pit-stops: Not required Server track settings: SESSION_START=100 RANDOMNESS=0 LAP_GAIN=0 SESSION_TRANSFER=N/a Damage: 60% Password: see above PLP App - Not used in this series. Cutting will be monitored on replay and penalties issued for excessive cutting.[/quote]

Tim, you seem to not read the series thread anymore so I post my questions here : 30mn is a nice quick format. Couldn't we consider a 2nd race for example in full reverse grid ? Tongue These Lotus are lovely, maybe a future series ? Roll Eyes And here comes a note : did you notice that Pau '74 suffers a bad surfaces join right after turn 6 ? It easily can lead to a destroyed car if ever the driver gets a little bit too much on there.

I did respond - it's on page 3 I'm not adding 2nd races after having already announced the series, and as I said in the announcement thread I won't consider reversed grids - unless we start a Wreckfest championship that is, then it'll be pretty much mandatory! I'll have some controlled crashes at Pau to check it - if it's an issue I'll just switch to the '60s version we've used in the past. It's identical, but mostly uses Hay bales for safety

It's pretty weird, the thread didn't want to actually refresh when I was asking it to, untill very recently. It's only today that all those posts appeared. About the reverse grid, I actually have very few experience about it and just had that idea as a comet in my head, I just wanted to know if we could make the fun last more with a 2nd race per event.

Link to live timing is not leading to Anglesey, it's opening to Brands Hatch - Indy for me.

And here comes a note : did you notice that Pau '74 suffers a bad surfaces join right after turn 6 ? It easily can lead to a destroyed car if ever the driver gets a little bit too much on there. The bad join is a kerb with some missing textures (with shaders patch at least - guessing the same in 'normal' AC) If people want to throw their cars over it then that's up to them - it doesn't cause damage or sticktion to cars that hit it so I call it fair game. There's no actual speed gain cutting over it as it upsets the car under braking, so I would expect most drivers to go around it like I have been until you pointed it out. The interesting hay bale placements are more risky if you ask me, as is the overly loose qualifying setup I was playing with while re-testing the track

I'm afraid i will be missing too for Round 1. I will only be a part time attendee now for this series as it clashes with a PCGB E-Sports series i am now in. Unfortunately they didnt publish the calender until recently and then i realised the dates clashed. (It runs bi-weekly).

Skin pack is now uploaded - They'll obviously be in place for the race but I may not get time to add them to the server tonight or for pre-event practice. Go to the 1st post or the championship announcement

Just to avoid to miss the race, race start is at 20.30 UK time? So GMT + 1?
Is that correct?
Thank you in advance.
See you later

hmm.. I'm 3secs off, the lap comparison says I need to up my corner speed yet I can only see that it will make the car too loose as I cant lean on the front end as it is.
I'll be circulating at the back!
