The season is drawing to a close; registered drivers, please skip to this post to change series or status.
Registration for Season 5 will begin shortly after Season 4 has finished.

For reference, here's the original announcement:

Please use the voting checkboxes to indicate which championships you would like to take part in. Drivers who ask to take part full time in Endurance and have a good attendence record will be given preference for Endurance places since that's the hardest championship for us to maintain good grid sizes in.

Please do not ask for a full time place if you cannot make at least 80% of the races; Endurance (mixed class) will be on the first and third Sunday of each month, GT Sprint will be on the first and third Tuesday of every month, and NGT Sprint will be on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month. Practice will start some time around 20:00 UK time and the race will end some time around 21:45-22:30 UK time (schedule to be confirmed).

We're hoping to get the first Endurance championship race underway on the 29th October (a week ahead of it's normal 1st Sunday slow, which falls on November 5th, which is a somewhat significant day here in the UK); with Sprint starting in November, all subject to GTR2 testing of course.

Car classes are not yet decided but they will be similar to previous UKGTR classes, for example the Mosler will be in NGT. The G3 cars will probably not be allowed in these events, although we will try and find a place for them from time to time.

Hopefully the server and all the tracks chosen will support at least 28 drivers. It's unlikely that many drivers will get full time drives in more than one championship (I am of course going to abuse my Chief Moderator status and put myself full time in both Endurance and NGT Sprint to ensure maximum 350Z coverage Wink) but don't panic if you only get a reserve drive; by race 3 there are nearly always reserve spots free, especially in Endurance.

It is unknown at this time whether a skin pack will be ready in time for Season 4. If you prepare skins according to the GTL instructions it should hold you in good stead if and when official instructions are released.

Can I wait till I've got GTR2 and tried some of the cars properly before deciding what I want to run? When is the closing date?

Just for the record, I am a haddock but didn't vote for that.

Also, would much prefer to race for a team if at all possible. I can paint things if needed, and I tell crappy jokes.

Good point. I've set the closing date for October 21, 16 days from now.

NGT Sprint FT
NGT Enduro FT
GT Sprint PT

Wasn't sure about Endurance in the past, but having done 2 sprint races without leaving the track (I did get 4 wheels on the grass at Brno, but that was down to my wife printing a document and the fps dropping dramatically for a couple of seconds) I'm much moe confident that I can do an 80 minute race without completely knackering my car on tyre walls etc.

Sad how long (in total) are the Sprint Racing sessions? I thought they would have been an hour to 75 minutes tops (15 min praccy, 20 min quali, 40 min race) almost like GTL?
Please tell me they aren't going to finish at 9.45-10.30pm. Otherwise I'll be unable to enter nearly all the races 'cos of my shifts.  no

The short answer is that we simply don't know yet. It's likely to use a similar schedule as GTL but with split practice sessions to allow full timers and reserves to join in different sessions.

We don't know yet. We don't have enough solid data on whether they're too fast over a 40ish minute race stint to be put in NGT.

NGT E = FT
NGT S = FT
GT   S = FT

If there's a crowd, I'll settle with NGT Endurance FT, NGT Sprint FT or reserve, GT Sprint reserve.

I'll be bolder once I get the game.  Hit with a wet fish

I put myself down for NGT reserve, however if you will be allowing G2 cars I'll prolly go with the SEAT.

One possibility we're looking at is using a rated scoring system like we do in UKGTL to allow a wider choice of car without the faster beasts being able to run away with the championship.
