I love this car and track combination (I get the impression not too many others do).

I do like the cars & am also a fan of the track but for some reason I just found these races a bit tedious. Odd really as we did a 22 lap race in GTL here a few weeks ago & I loved every minute of that.

Apart from leading for a few miles at the start, I spent most of race 1 chasing Glenn. No problem about the pass Glenn, I saw you coming & as you were obviously faster I did not contest too hard. Could not keep up Glenn's pace & came home a distant 2nd.

Race 2 was a bit of a disaster. Not sure what happened at T1, I thought I braked in the right place, but obviously not as I just went straight on into the gravel. Lost about 30s getting back on the tarmac & then drove flat out to try to catch up, but nearly everyone retired so got up to 2nd almost by default. I was then intent on beating my leaderboard laptime with the obvious result, lots of collisions with the barriers. Then at the start of lap 3 I missed T1 braking point again, red mist descended & I just drove into the barriers & killed it. Roll Eyes death

Congrats to Glenn on two comfortable wins & to Toni & Bill on their podiums.  clap clap clap

Well that was an interesting and eventful night’s racing, particularly as a 1730 I had an un-drivable car! It would not ride the kerbs, it was like hitting a wall and threw the car into a tank slapper into the barrier wrecking the car. My plans to spend time sorting this out and getting practice laps in the morning was thwarted by the RRE server being down till late afternoon. I only had time to guess how much to reduce reduce the springs by, luckily I got it right! Grin

At my age I don’t expect to be on the pace but try and improve on offline practice times, not get lapped and hopefully finish the race still running. My car handled beautifully kerb riding and mainly staying on the track particularly the left hand kink at the end of the long straight which I took at full throttle!  I stood on the bakes a 100 yards or so before the series of corners without any problems, without any need for correction! As for my position in the final placings it was a huge surprise, thanks folks for your congratulations!

Nordschleife is always a fun challenge but requires so much concentration at all times to not bin it that gets a bit much in longer races. I used to not like Slovakiaring, but after the recent CUPRA Challenge it has grown on me. Just has a nice rhythm to it once you memorise all the corners. Hungaroring in TCR's is pretty much perfection for me.

RaceRoom are just starting a new multiplayer series for WTCR cars featuring all the tracks we are using in this series (except Imola). Only trouble is the races are on Sundays so some will clash with our GTR4 races Roll Eyes.

PS: Just noticed it uses the upcoming 2020 WTCR cars. Also free to take part, you don't need to own any of the content.
